Republicans May Vote Around Boehners Blocking
Posted by: Lefty ()

Democrats and republicans will have enough votes to surpass Boehners blocking the voting of a clean bill.

Good luck stopping that vote Boehner!

Now Boehner will be flipping back to "I was always in favor in clean bill without Obamacare, it was the democrats that added Obamacare."

If you think they'll be able to bypass Boehner simply because they have a majority, you don't understand the House.

They are talking about a procedural change to allow them to vote around Boehner.

I would assume Boehner would be all for this since it gives him an easy out. He doesn't have to say I caved in.

Now that radiophilie has joined the party the power rangers of low information voters are complete

"I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go." --at a campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon

"Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee -- which is my committee -- a bill to call for divestment from Iran as way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don't obtain a nuclear weapon." --referring to a committee he is not on, Sderot, Israel, July 23, 2008

"UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It's the Post Office that's always having problems." –attempting to make the case for government-run healthcare, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument, Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11, 2009

"When I meet with world leaders, what's striking -- whether it's in Europe or here in Asia..." -mistakenly referring to Hawaii as Asia while holding a press conference outside Honolulu, Nov. 16, 2011

"What I was suggesting -- you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith..." --in an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, who jumped in to correct Obama by saying "your Christian faith,"

"I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." -- defending his tax plan to Joe the Plumber, who argued that Obama's policy hurts small-business owners like himself, Toledo, Ohio, Oct. 12, 2008

“Mr. President, I rise today to talk about America’s debt problem. The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills.”

It would be too late to do a discharge petition to beat the debt ceiling. The bill in question would have to be at least thirty days old and must have been passed to the House speaker within the last seven days. I think you're looking at late October or November before such a motion would force the bill to come to the floor for long-winded speeches and eventually a vote.

Is this among the best you can come up with?

There is a very long cultural tie between Hawaii and Asia. The largest China Town in this country is in Honolulu, for example. Hawaii had been thought throughout history as a gateway or bridge to "the Far East" (what we now call Asia or the Pacific Rim).

Read Dan Quayle's comments on Hawaii: Hawaii has always been a very pivotal role in the Pacific. It is in the Pacific. It is a part of the United States that is an island that is right here."

And I am not who you think I am.

Which still isn't in Asia.

But growing up there and in Indonesia is a big part of why Obama has little understanding of or appreciation for large parts of being American.

most of these stupid redneck teabaggers couldn't even point out Hawaii on a map.

I don't believe the Hastert Rule is officially part of the rules of the House, and a procedure already exists for a majority of the House to force a vote on an issue.

That is correct.

I could be wrong but I'm right 99% of the time

It's pathetic & sad, "28", that you cannot respond to FUNdametal's post.

House GOP-tards are acting like ridiculous, whiny children and President Obama is being the adult. Let the GOP-tards hold their breath & pitch a fit. The American electorate will soon enough grow weary of their antics. In the end, the truth and the light of the AMerican legislative process will out.

Peace Out,
"27"

Nothing gets done to cut spending and deficits outside of debt ceiling fights.

+5 Fundamental, that was funny. Sadly very true.

Republicans are under the impression that if they just keep doing the same thing something might change. That's not going to happen.

It's been 6 years and republicans still don't get that the majority of the country wants Obamacare.

As mentioned that doesnt make it Asia. You would think someone who grew up there would know it, or know there arent 57 states.

I can keep going forever with these if youd like. Would you like the recent one where he was trying to mock republicans and instead took a shot at unions who go on strike? Again you would think a Law Professor would have know the federal laws dont allow those union members to be fired on the spot like he said.

And I dont think youre those other posters, I know youre radiophile. However you use this screen name because of all the lies youve been caught in on the other one so that does lump into that other group as the same type of poster. Youve also used this screen and radiophile in the same thread to make it look like someone else was supporting you which again makes your tactics the same.

Nicely done Mr Boehner.

He could of spared me 5 minutes of my life by just saying "Nothing changed. We're still kicking rocks and our demands have not been met. Obamacare is still here. The public is getting madder at the GOP everyday."

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go cry and kiss some Tea party tea bags.
