Economically, Obama is the best performing President in history

Although we hear almost no one in the Obama administration taking credit for record index highs, they should. Because the President deserves attention for how well this economy has done during his leadership.
The auto rescue plan has worked. American car manufacturers are still dominant and employing millions directly and in supplier companies. Wall Street reform has been painful but it has re-instated faith amongst investors. The markets are far more predictable than they were four years ago, as VIX numbers demonstrate greater faith and less risk.
The deficit is now only 4% of the GDP, down from over 10% at the end of Bush’s administration – and projections are for it to be only 2% by 2015 (before Obama leaves office.) America’s “debt problem” seems largely solved, and almost all due to growth rather than austerity.

No reform done.
VIX means complacency which is usually bad for markets.
Low deficit is artificial. With normal interest rates, it could easily be 2 trillion dollars.
Real estate recovery is artificial.
Job market is artificial.
Fed scared to quit stimulus. It knows this is all artificial.

I didn't vote for Obama in the last election but I really wish I would of now.

There's no question now that I was an ignorant republican.

I'm positive now that I will be voting for Hillary and joining the winning democratic team.

Remember that the market was in a slump in spring 2009, and Fox News almost injured itself, calling it "the Obama Market," and the "Obama Slump," and muttering about how capital was fleeing the US because of the evil Kenyan Muslim socialist?

Hilarious stuff. Funny, they don't seem to give him any credit for the market going UP.

The Fed continues to keep interest rates at zero. That's all you need to know about how "great" the economy is. Without the Fed buying mortgages and our debt at the rate of $85,000,000,000 a month, our economy would be tanking.

Either we bottom out (Fed stops propping the economy up) or we continue to monetize the debt and hope a recovery actually kicks in. I have to assume we'll be doing the latter and the economy will start a real recovery in about 3 years. Same thing happened during the Great Depression. FDR's policies looked great on paper but we'd be a second rate economy if we hadn't won WWII and controlled the world's banking and financial markets. By defeating Germany and Japan, the US took down our two main economic and military rivals and got to set a dollar-based world economy that wiped out all the debt FDR's policies had created.

Let's make this clear, "republicans" are trying to get a government shutdown.

yes like paycheck it goes "up" but it is far behind matching inflation

and UP for who idiot? government workers? or investors that own it: foreign countries

go back and watch msnbc they'll "teach you" all about being a democrat

and lying with statistics

-------------------------

when is wallstreet going to explain IRA (retirement funds) being CUT IN HALF in the 2000s during a year ?

it's the biggest rape in wallstreet history and all they said was "oh mortage bets weren't doing well"

near 1/2 of all workers lost half of all their lifetime savings and they never gave ANYTHING but a typical excuse

there WERE laws against runs on the market that occured with no explination

---------------------------

they do runs on the market. but i can tell your an msn all day sucker so just buy allot of software and put your money where they tell you ok?

---------------------------------
they are anual pay. they are going on vacation. they tell you gov is shutdown. your an idiot for listening to a signle word out of their mouths.

"near 1/2 of all workers lost half of all their lifetime savings and they never gave ANYTHING but a typical excuse"

^^^This is the most ignorant statement ever on the Internet^^^

The only workers that lost ANYTHING were the ones stupid enough to cash out when we hit rock bottom or close to it.
The rest of us held fast and continued to buy throughout the entire cycle. When the market came back it came back triple hard for those of us that kept the faith. It was a once or twice in a lifetime opportunity.
