Well it's on the front page of the Post right now anyways. And honestly people don't care about abortion all that much anymore. Not like that anyways. It's kind of hit a wall. It's not likely going away legally. Best you can do is try to convince people it's the wrong thing to do on an individual basis. These big political rallies aren't really that important to that.

What I always thought was funny about this march is that I think every year Bush was President they would line up outside the White House and hear a recorded audio message from him. Not like the guy could actually address his base in person in public or anything.

Abortion is a huge fundraiser for the Left. They love to fill the ears old hippie librarians and bitches in general with scare stories of a conservative court completely outlawing the practice. The lame and shrill feminist types and their sympathizers will start yapping about " a womans rights to her body" and pretend there is an someincredible onslaught or chance of a ban on abortion.

Even a lot of the people who don't like abortion will quietly concede that it's not going away. If a new SCOTUS overturned Roe v Wade, it would still pop back into the states. South Dakota did some kind of referendum on abortion about 5 years ago and voters overwhelmingly supported the laws as they stand, even though polling showed abortion not being supported.

Abortion being banned is another fraudulent leftist scare tactic.

I agree it's used by pro-choice groups to scare up funds. It's also used by pro-life groups to do the same. And it's used by politicians on both sides to rally that small segment of their bases to whom this is an important issue or who are easily scared by either the idea of jackbooted thugs forcing poor people to get abortions or old chauvinist men sending innocent women to die by the busloads in illegal back-alley abortions, depending on the side one leans towards.

He was out of town most of those years and the messages were not recorded, but phoned in. Yeah, he wasn't there, but you are a bit off base.

Okay..."phoned in" is much better than "recorded." And, sorry, but the guy had no problem being in DC when there was a fundraiser involved. Seems like he conveniently planned to be out of town when this was going on.
