Republican Ted Stevens is a newly convicted felon and is running for re-election in the Senate. He is also held to a higher standard.

What's your point?

If someone has served their prison sentence, why shouldn't they be allowed to vote? It's ridiculous to think that they shouldn't.

Again, more crazy right-wing fear and paranoia.

Well, other than the fact that when are a convicted felon in most states you have to petition to get your right to vote back. Other than that, yeah.

So, what you're saying is that Ted Stevens shouldn't be allowed to vote until his appeals are exhausted? But for some reason (ahem - loophole / silence in the election law), he's allowed to run his campaign. What a complete farce.

G Gordon Liddy is a convicted felon and he is for McCain. Too bad though. First Liddy lives in MD and Obama will win the easily. Second, Lidy's right to vote and his right to own firearms have not been restored - so he could not vote anyway.

Wow. Convicted felons vote for Obama.

I'm surely not going to vote for him now! That little bit of unimportant information has led me, a barely got my GED, no skilled laborer, with a pickup truck, to vote against him because I can't stand convicted felons.

Thank god someone finally convinced me to vote for McCain because before this, I was going to vote for Obama even though I knew he was a secret sleeper cell muslim terrorist, and a socialist, and convorted with terriers.
