If Palin thinks her plan of a spin off of the Republican party will work she is crazy. I can see some people going with her, maybe a lot of republican women and the those against McCain\Bush, but most republicans will stick to the main Republican party because that's where the lobbiest support is.

I doubt she can get many lobbiests to fund her "new party" idea.

If I were a fundie, why would I support Palin, who has scandals swirling around her like Pig-Pen, and appears incapable of speaking in complete paragraphs, when I can support Huckabee, who doesn't have scandals and can speak in complete paragraphs?

Unless, of course, I were a fundie that denied climate change (even Pat Robertson has changed his tune here) or thought hard-right economics were the way to go (I can't see the Panic of 2008 being a good thing for hard-right economic views.)

Quayle ran for President in 2000. His campaign was as successful as Jim Gilmore's.
