Navy is throttling ND. I am happy to see it, but oh, how far ND football has fallen. Weis pretty much destroyed that program during his tenure. I feel bad for Brian Kelly inheriting this pile of shit.

I love Notre Dame AND Navy, so it's a real pain to watch them play each other. The really amazing thing about Navy is that their players are walk-ons, so anytime they beat these major football schools, it's absolutely astounding.

Clausen got killed at ND because of the scheme and lack of protection. Doesn't change the fact Clausen was a highly recruited H.S. player. He just had nothing to protect him.

It was funny how they highlighted how Kelly spent his Friday before today's game. He basically spent most of the day kissing the ass of boosters and very little time prepping the team to play. I have a feeling that is part of the problem at ND...Administrators trying to make the Big Money donors happy with face time with the coach who then has little time to prepare the team. That's not a recipe for success.

I have been a fan of N D for as long as I can remember. I used to live about 30 miles from South bend and have been to many games.
I would agree that Weis was a poor choice for coach but hopefully Kelly can straighten the program out.

Kelly needs time to purge Weis's poison out of that program. With that being said, his call at the end of that game was absolutely retarded. It may be one of the worst play calls of all time. Run it twice up the gut and kick a 30-35 yarder. No brainer.
