FWIW, the manassas roy's (across from PW hospital on 234) has a old white country-looking dude as manager. He always makes my chicken fresh if i come in while relatively slow and ask nicely, just be ready to wait 20 minutes for it.

I love Roy's roast beef sandwich's. I got one at the Roys in front royal last month. It looked like a hustler magazine centerfold. The double r bar burger and coleslaw are fricking great also.

Too bad Wendy's stopped selling fried chicken it was the best.The wife and I ate at BBQ Chicken and Beer in Centerville last night and it was pretty damned good. Check it out. The BBQ chicken wasn't bad but the fried was crazy good, a little spicy and served hot. They make your order after you order it and don't have a bunch of pre-made pieces sitting around. The coleslaw was pretty good too. The Corona was icey cold and just perfect. Wife got the BBQ and I got the fried with 3 beers an ice tea and onion rings the tab was 49 bucks. Not bad for excellent fried chicken. Try it it was worth it.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is the only NOTABLE place to get buckets of chicken.
There are a few rotissery chicken places in the area - those are worth it.

Neither can compare to the Chicken at Kroger's.
I enjoy going to Kroger’s and getting a 2 pc chicken dinner . I get baked, not fried. (I eat healthy!). So then I had macaroni and cheese, and collard greens with it, and a dinner roll. It was very good in my mouth. I just love going there. The people that work there are really nice. Except some of them have a more uppity attitude. I notice its worse with the middle aged Negroes, than the younger ones. I guess they were taught to hate white people. Oh, well. I certainly don’t hate them. After I had my dinner, I bought some delicious cookies that are chocolate chip with a vanilla filling in the center.

The answer to this competition is Roy's by so far it cannot be considered a competition. Why they pulled back on their number of locations I will never understand. KFC is complete garbage in comparison and even Popeye's struggles to compete. Not to mention the ROAST BEEF SANDWICHES!!! And Roy's has better biscuits than anyone too, even Red Lobster, who is a distant second.

I used to work at Roy Rogers. Pay was shit and they constantly made my tall ass clean high stuff. I quit after about two months. Food is gross too. Very bland and prepared in unsanitary conditions.
