With all the crap coming out about our governor and his family accepting bribes and gifts from Jonnie Williams, here is a possible explanation. Maureen McDonnell, the Governor’s wife, was sleeping with Johnnie Williams and was caught by our esteemed governor.

Look, she went on trips with Mr. Williams, Mr. Williams took her shopping in New York and bought her over $10,000 in clothes including a suede jacket and shoes. What man goes shoe shopping with a women he is NOT sleeping with? I think the Governor caught wind of the affair, accepted payments as retribution, and did everything in his power to get Mr. Williams on his way away from the Governor and his wife.

Let's see if she leaves Bob for Jonnie the day our Governor leaves office.

There is one other type person that goes shoe shopping with women.

As soon as Williams comes out of the closet, the left will forgive and forget the whole thing.

The Governor did what he did because he and his wife invested in properties right before the housing market crash. The payments they took brought them out of a potential bankruptcy.

You're forgetting one thing. He was driving around in Jonnie's white ferrari himself, on his boat, in his vacation house with Maureen. Not only that, Maureen gave him a Rolex watch she made Jonnie buy him for 6,500 dollars. Doesn't sound like he was the victim of an affair.

it's simpler than that. McDonnell bought several houses at inflated prices. the market crashed and he and his dumb-ass wife were left holding the bag. instead of taking it like man he decided to blow williams for a few 'loans'.

The story, as told to the public and court, is a complete fabrication to keep the McDonnell's political dreams alive.

As long as his wife admits to all the 'wrong doing' in this case, receiving gifts, there is NO CRIME. His wife did not hold an office in the state of Virginia--She was not elected or appointed. If she gave said gifts to her to her husband there is no crime because her action as an intermediary 'washes away the guilt'. She acted as a ersatz lobbyist protecting the governor from direct influence which is illegal.

Will the governor see a fine or prison time -- no.

Will his wife see a fine or prison time? A fine. No prison.

I predict more training for Virginia state employees because the peons are the ones causing the problems.
