Democratic Pain is what it seems like.

I don't see too many of us that are representative of the conservative viewpoint here making jokes about Obama's name or his role in life. Seems when you have no good argument to make, it is troll time. You all are kind of pathetic in that regard.

Notice, I was responding to the MILF post. I posted that animated picture after searching long and hard on the internet for something similar in response. It certainly wasn't my belief, and notice I even prefaced it with

Quote

Not my belief, but ... coincidence? Lol

Some people have a very active imagination. I think the thought behind that particular graphic was pretty stupid, and not worthy of a comment normally. However the MILF post was about as offensive.

So if you are going to call me on a comment where I initiate a thread with the kind of BS this one started with, please enlighten me. You all continue to amaze me with your willful suspension of reality when you attempt to make a point or refute a statement. And you call people that support McCain incapable of coherent thoughts.

Not even close.

How disingenuous can someone be? Just because you make this statement, it allows you to put forward propaganda that makes fun of your opponent? As you say, Not even close RV.

How about this.

You are an idiot.

Now see, I believe that, and said it with all sincerity.

When I preface something by saying I don't agree with it, I mean it. I only posted it as something I saw along similar lines to the MILF graphic. Nothing disingenuous about it. I would never have posted that graphic otherwise. You on the other hand, come and post gratuitous stupid statements, with even more stupid "trump" names, as if you somehow scored a point.

I post facts. You post parodies. If it is my opinion I make that clear as well. But sitting and making up clever anagrams or other clever word games is not something I normally engage in. That seems to be at least 50% of the "normal" posts here by folks that have nothing meaningful to add to the discussion - such as yourself.

You and McCain share something in common; lack of temperament. No wonder your boy is going off a cliff. LMAO

Again, your backhanded attempt at spewing propaganda was and is disingenuous.

LOL

No lack of temperament. Just the truth. I didn't say it in anger at all, even though you might like to believe that.

You aren't even worth that much effort honestly.

The reason this country is in such sad shape is because the dichotomy between Vince and RV is being played out on a macro scale. Don't take that as a personal attack; you two are just the most relevant example at the moment.

There is no "What's best for the country" anymore, it's become "What's best for the party." Like it or not, there is always more than one solution to any given problem.

For example, if you take one intelligent person and give them a jigsaw puzzle, that person will eventually put it all together, no problem. If you take two people of equal intelligence and tell them to solve the problem together, they will bicker about the best approach. Add a few more people to the mix, and they will start taking sides. The two intelligent people will then start trying to get people from the "other side" to follow their method, which is time taken away from actually solving the problem.

I don't feel like writing a bunch of disclaimers about how that's not an all-encompassing example, blah blah blah.

I have become so disillusioned with the political process and the ability of the government to do what it's supposed to do that I can't even pretend to subscribe to the labels of republican, democrat, liberal, or conservative. The idea that "your party" is the correct one is the result of hundreds of years of social engineering, and will inevitably lead to the downfall of this country that, believe it or not, I love so much.

Anybody who says that America will endure forever (especially if led by "their party) and doesn't look around at what's really going on is forgetting about Rome, the British Empire, the Mongolians, Alexander the Great, and so on and so forth. Something as big as America cannot survive forever in such a fractured state.

Sorry for the novel. It just breaks my heart to see something with so much potential be wasted over a donkey and an elephant.

Replace the "b" with an "s" in Obama, and you get Osama in the Whitehouse.

One of the reasons George Washington was adverse to the ideas of political parties taking over the landscape.

He was also adverse to a permanent standing army.

So great, go advocate for them to disband it then.

I will gladly ask to get rid of the two political parties. You? On the other hand, I think it would be utterly ignorant in this day and age to not have a standing army - and I think Washington would probably have to agree based on the way the world turned out.

I'm of the mind we need a standing army here, just not everywhere else. I also think that if we had Israel's army plan, we'd see a lot less fuck-ups running around (the military did wonders for me, and I was a potential fuck-up).

If we took all the money we spend on our military being sent needlessly around the world, don't tell me wouldn't be able to create an army that'd make Skynet look like a bunch of pussies.
