Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything. They choose to stay there and keep getting free Gov. money. A girl I knew was dating a guy that was Indian. He lived on the reservation in ND. She lived in another state and wanted the guy to come move in with her. She had a great job and owned her own house. They were talking about marriage and having a kid together. The guy was all set to move but when the day came to move, he just could not move off the reservation. The thought of living anywhere else was just too much to handle. He asked her to move to the reservation to live with him. There was no way she was moving there, no job for her, no way to earn a living. Needless to say, that relationship did not last.

There are 1000s of Indians that have left the reservations over the years and made a great life for themselves.

Have you ever gone to an Indian reservation? They make Anacostia look like Shangri-La. We scream and yell about how blacks have been screwed. They got citizenship in the 1860s. American Indians didn't get their citizenship until the 1920s.

Its not that all natives are drunks, its that all natives can't hold their liquor because of a condition called hepophilioma which disallows the alcohol to disapate in the bloodstream at the same rate as in many other races. The counsel finally allows drug dogs to be brought into the school but the dogs are not allowed near the students, the lockers and bags can be sniffed but only checked with a warranty and permission from the students parents. Considering ALL the parents are worthless drunk meth addicts do you think they'll ever agree to have their kids bags checked. 15 of 18 (yep that's the whole high school) kids were recorded on camera with weed in the school but nothing could be done about it. The tribal counsel knows that because of the small student body size that news like that would probably make national news and they don't want the bad press so the schools hands are tied. There is a whole bunch more tribal red tape like that, that I'm not going to get into because it's boring.

I will however tell a bunch of stories that are more interesting.

My sister-in-law when she was in high school had her car stolen from her part time job that was next to a liquor store a couple miles from the rez. The police flat out told her it was probably an indian because it was the first week of the month and the Indians get their check ,walk to town ,buy booze and steal cars close to the liquor store to drive back to the rez. The police also told her that she wont get it back because they usually burn the car. The car turned up a week later on the side of the road on the rez surprisingly not burned. This is where it gets kinda funny. She got the car back had the window fixed and the steering column replaced. The following first week of the month her car was stolen again, this time it turned up on the rez again but was burned.

when I was in high school (mid 90's) those useless fucktards would find out where our high school parties were and pile in 10 or so drunk 30-40 year olds into a van drive up to the party and jump out and beat the shit out of a random kid (usually the smallest one they could find)and drive off . The next time it happen the Indians got completely fucked up by about 50 of us, I don't have a clue how none of them died with the severe ass whooping they received. One did lose a finger which we threw in the bon fire, kinda gross but awesome at the same time. Needless to say that didn't try that shit again.

When they cant get booze on Sunday's those fucking savages will drink Listerine or filter Lysol through bread and drink that too.

If a child comes to school completely smelling of chemicals from their parents making meth all night in the living room and the teachers report it the teacher will be reprimanded and if the teacher goes to the police anonymously and the police dig into it the officer will be reprimanded or relieved of duty because the tribal counsel doesn't want that type of bad press.

I'm native and when I saw the title of the thread and saw that bum sleeping I laughed. Not in an ignorant way just the thought I guess.. I've lived with bears sharing my food and hung off rocks above the clouds. I've trail run just about every trail in north & south america down every back end mountain trail no man would want to traverse.
I've found myself dying of thirst in the middle of the Mojave desert after my truck was shot at by who knows who in the middle of the night.
I fought off two wolves that did everything but bleed me out because they wanted my catch in the middle of the north forest. I had an axle break in Columbia and got stuck in a three day mini war two drug lords (or whomever) were fighting. I ended up with two extra holes in my body.
I live in Mattaponi tribal reservation located on the Mattaponi River with my wife and daughter and once in a while you'll find me somewhere in the forest...on a trail, or hanging off a cliff on the side of a mountain. Need I say more?
