Clear as mud...

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....

* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're
"exotic, different."
* Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American
story.

* If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.
* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

* Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.
* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well
grounded.

* If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become
the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter
registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12
years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State
Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become& nbsp;
chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee,
spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a
state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving
on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's
Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city
council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000
people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000
people, then you're qualified to become the country's second
highest ranking executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while
raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches,
you're not a real Christian.

* If you ch eated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left
your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're
a Christian.

* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education,
including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the
fiber of society.

* If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with
no other option in sex education in your state's school system
while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you're very
responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate laywer who gave up a position
in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner
city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's
values don't represent America's.

* If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least o ne
DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to
vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated
the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely
admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

Best post I've read in a long time! It is sickening to me how the Republican propaganda machine twists the facts. What's worse are the seemingly large number of average Americans who believe the distortions. Most clearly, "John and Sarah" (as seen along the Parkway) lack the integrity to represent the American people.

While I'll be the first to agree the Palin is a joke, I don't see anything in your list of Obama achievements that qualify him for anything more than say Governor of Alaska.

Just for shits and giggles, lets compare Obama's list of credentials above to George Washington's, Abe Lincoln's, Either Roosevelt, John Adams or Thomas Jefferson's list. The common denominator among these men, is that they got things done, big things. They had serious balls and some paid with their life. They all had the countries interest first and they did what they thought was best for it.

The fact is, we haven't had a president for the past 50 years that was well educated, well spoken, ballsy and that thought for himself. Presidential candidates today are simply mouth pieces for either party line with dopey advisers telling them which demographic to pander to here or there. Neither Obama or McCain will ever get anything of importance done. The best we can hope for is that they just don't screw anything up worse than it already is, like Bush did.

There is that viral post again. Been making the rounds today and was already posted in a different thread.

Again, seems to be a lot about Palin, Where are Obama's "issues" again? I still haven't seen them, even though they state over and over again that McCain is making it so they can't focus on them...

Right...

May as well repost my response here too (with a correction on the $110M):

-----------
What, can't post an original thought other than Dem talking points or cute emails you picked up from the net?

http://www.discourse.net/archives/2008/09/new_email_making_the_rounds.html

I see it has made it onto a number of different blogs too. You making the rounds? Look, he's viral.

And yet, almost all of those points compare Obama to Palin. Who is running for President again?

And again, all this talking down of Alaska. You guys would think it is West Virginia or something. Those people know more about living than most of us here posting on this blog, so yeah, I think it uniquely qualifies them to give a "real person" perspective to ANY political conversation. Much like Clinton when he came from Arkansas and ran one of the most backward States in this country. And for all these sad stories of how they gave up careers at prestigious law firms to help the inner city communities, please, go to those communities now and tell me how much better they are now than before Obama got to them. How about that Chicago school system - $110M later while sitting on a board with William Ayers to run a program to improve the school system, and they still said the school system was the worst in the country when they were done. I guess he has a lot of experience in maintaining the status quo - not sure how that qualifies you to be an agent of change.

Read it and weep:

Everyone keeps saying he has no executive experience - funny how this never gets mentioned anywhere in MSM.

You know what McSame's experiences add up to? Zero..nada..nothing! He has no more qualifications to be Commander in Chief...then Sara Palin. If he did have any experiences worth anything...he is senile..and forgetting more each day then he remembers from day to day!

And not only that...we all know that when he was at his best (about 8 years ago) he was a moderate republikan who hadnt yet sold his integrity to the religious right. He is washed up and even the excited Palin republikans know it. I suspect most would rather see her at the top of the ticket then him!

So lets get it straight...McSame is THE most incompetent one on the republikan ticket!

Thanks Vince. Your brilliant words are certainly inspirational to
all Americans. I'm sure that everyone who was planning to vote for
McCain-Palin will change their minds the second they read your
post. Now kindly get off your big fat ass and get a job!

Democrats are so hateful and bitter.
I guess they suck in real life and now expect the government to take care of them.

With a high school education, I own my own business. Pay my bills and don’t ask for the government to pay for my health care. And I'm a woman.

Go out and get a job and stop complaining.

Instead, we get more of this:
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/17/obama_invokes_rush_limbaugh_in.html

Really. This is issue based campaigning?

Sounds like race-baiting to me. And talk about taken out of context:
http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0908/Limbaugh_hitting_back_over_usage_in_ad_says_Obama_stoking_racism.html

Quote

Rush Limbaugh, April 6, 2006:

Everybody's making immigration proposals these days. Let me add mine to the mix. Call it The Limbaugh Laws:

First: If you immigrate to our country, you have to speak the native language. You have to be a professional or an investor; no unskilled workers allowed. Also, there will be no special bilingual programs in the schools with the Limbaugh Laws. No special ballots for elections. No government business will be conducted in your language. Foreigners will not have the right to vote — or hold political office.

If you’re in our country, you cannot be a burden to taxpayers. You are not entitled to welfare, food stamps, or other government goodies. You can come if you invest here: an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. If not, stay home. But if you want to buy land, it'll be restricted. No waterfront, for instance. As a foreigner, you must relinquish individual rights to the property.

And another thing. You don’t have the right to protest. You're allowed no demonstrations, no foreign flag waving, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our President or his policies. You’re a foreigner: shut your mouth or get out! And if you come here illegally, you're going to jail.

You think the Limbaugh Laws are harsh? Well, every one of the laws I just mentioned are actual laws of Mexico today! That’s how the Mexican government handles immigrants to their country. Yet Mexicans come here illegally and protest in our streets!

How do you say “double standard” in Spanish? How about: “No mas!"

it's a fact...he's nothing more then a succesful junky..peddling his brand of bullying on the public airwaves. It is my great hope that once democrats are elected the will require the FCC to start enforcing the fairness doctrine which users of the public air waves used to be held accountable to. Maybe then the propaganda machine we hear on radio constantly will be driven to satellite radio. Then we'll see who is willing to pay to hear the rantings of a drug addict!

Wait, so by your logic, Obama is just another successful junky right? I mean he admitted to using drugs quite a bit when he was in college.... illegally.

So instead of having one on the radio (where you can change the station) we get to see people try and elect him to national office. Should give him some great moral high ground to stand on when or if he decides to do anything about drug use.

Then again Bill Clinton just inhaled.

well...well..well...when you dig up the evidence that Obama went from Dr. to Dr. pimping them for prescriptions...perhaps. Using drugs does not make one an addict....once again you cant face reality... and remember, once an addict...always an addict!

Hah hah!!

Once again, you can't face reality - so you change it :) Honestly, you suck at this Vince. Go back to playing video games, I am sure you can have much more relevance there.

well..now to the sexual jokes...I love it...you certainly are a genious at this...spelling mistakes...slights in thread titles..and now this..you say junkie..I say addict...junky..addict...junky...addict..it's all at Rush's feet. Please..please...since you are such an expert on defintions...tell me what differentiates a junky from an addict? The term junky was first used in connection to heroine users/addcts. Are all recreational drug users now junkies? Please give us the benifit of your lack of wisdom.

And keep your opinions of me..what I think..what motivates me to yourself..they are worthless. You dont know me...and I thank god for that.
