Is Cary in cahoots with the Feds?

If Verizon and Google are, why not Cary?

They got ahold of "Prophet Muhammad" pretty darn quick... couldn't have done that without Cary's help, right? (Did he require a warrant?)

Bob Dylan is making lingerie commercials.

Why should we be surprised if Cary is working with the feds?

Pick up my laptop and play
Just like yesterday
Then I get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again!

I doubt Cary's in cahoots with anyone.

As far as Cary being in cahoots with the cops, why would they bother when they can just wave a court order in front of him and he'll roll over like a dog that wants its belly scratched?

The rack space at Inforelay is probably only costing Cary about $65 a month, so except for his time that he spends (minimally) maintaining FFXU, he's got no other costs involved. If he wants to flush several hundred bucks a year down the toilet, more power to him.

I don't have a problem with Cary sharing my personal information with local, state or federal government if it will help to protect us from terrorism.

I trust Cary and I trust the government to always do the right thing.

Why are some people so determined to keep their information "secret"? What do they have to hide? Why are these secretive types usually Republicans?

Cary is on the same page with Obama. They're both progressives, which in my book is another word for trustworthy.

God bless Cary, and God bless the United States of America!

Privacy is effectively a 20th century concept like the steam engine.

That's exactly right.

Except for the part that steam engines never spied on anyone.

"Privacy is effectively a 20th century concept like the steam engine."...

Well, a fair point. I mean, so were honesty, integrity, respect, civil behavior..., stuff like that.

Outmoded concepts..., let's just quit talking about them.

Oh, and while we are at it, That crap about government being a servant, and the citizens being the master, well, that's just wingnut craziness.

This is actually true. "Privacy" is a modern notion. It didn't exist before a couple hundred years ago. That's why "privacy" isn't mentioned in the US Constitution. The idea was only just getting started back then.

But spying on everyone all the time is inherently wrong, regardless of "privacy".

You have the concept backwards Benx. The dude was saying the privacy is an outdated concept, like the steam engine.

The steam engine is used to power the vast majority of electrical generation in the world including: coal-fired power plants, geothermal power plants, nuclear power plants, natural gas power plants, and more.

There is no trend indicating that this will change.

The steam engine is not outmoded, and neither is the right to privacy.

Seriously. I doubt anyone is going to view me as a security risk because I think a certain celebrity is not hot even though many other folks think she is hot.
