Well, when I was young I used to think that they were cute, and who could beat an evening at Annie's in Georgetown with my girlfriends and a bunch of Marines from the SE barracks? Good times, good times.

Now I think that our Marines are just a tool for a mis-managed war machine, and that recruiters like you dupe young, impressionable men into joining you.

And now I have a question for you: Do you keep track of how many of these young men you recruited are maimed for life or have died?

Most are nowhere near as tough as they think they are.

Just for fun, in my younger days, I used to pick fights with them in bars....only got my ass kicked a couple times

I can't blame them for not having a sense of humor working with you Vince, that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and all. You sure it was really a lack of humor or more out of disgust?

I can usually spot a marine in a crowd, by the way they carry themselves and the

pride they put into their appearance. They are the most squared away, in my

opinion, of any military branch, yet I love them all. Why? Because of what they

choose to do, how difficult it is to do, how much is expected of them and their

families and how very little compensation they get in return.

A few can ruin it for all, anywhere. The lower ranks have done what they have

been told like good marines and soldiers, it's the leadership that's failed them,

in the middle east, and some heads should role.

Marine, where are you headed in Iraq?

After reading up on the threads, I’ve come to the following conclusion. Vince(1) is not a favorite of anyone. LOL.
Don’t be too concerned Vince, we are all just make believe cyberspace posters. I mean, no one goes up to 496 on the street and says “Hey, 496, waz up?”

But, regarding 496’s post-

--------------Vince, don't you mean "worked on?"------------------

Vince, are you a masseuse by trade and do you only wok on guys?

Its ok if you’re gay. No problem with that. It would explain why you’re voting for Obama.
But, did you become gay to avoid ever becoming a Marine? LOL

Are you stupid enough to try and fit your head in a jar? No wonder they wouldn't take you if you are that stupid and no wonder your parents hate you. I know they have relaxed standards in recent years, but there is no way they relaxed them to the point of allowing the likes of you to join. Plus, I bet you are the type that can't keep his mouth shut and just couldn't wait to "tell."

Having been in the Navy I will have to say this:

"...squids feed on lower forms of marine life..."

But in reality, Marines are some of the best troops in the US military. Some folks here have no understanding of what being proud of your country actually means, so don't worry too much about their comments.

How many different names can you post under? Are you trying for the record?

Speaking to me? I have never posted under any other name here. I can make my case perfectly fine under one pseudonym thanks.

The guy mocking your name might have a different agenda. Shrug.

I am not Hop. Simply Fund the Mental. When did you start exclusively using FUNdamental instead of Radiofar, er phile?

It's been almost a week since I asked this question and no answer.

I believe this is another Alias for Elliot, the am DJ on 101.

Reasons;

1. When Radiophile posted his thread about banks going under, B of A, or Wachovia, you were on the radio during the same period talking about the same subject.

2. Your first post here is not properly typed out as a southern would speak, but maybe a Canadian Loonie?

3. You haven't answered my question because you aren't for real. Liars get caught up on the details. A real marine would have returned the answer quickly, because he would have the information and an eagerness to share it. Nothing is more cherished then correspondence when you're along way from home, and he would've worked that angle. Not you, you don't have a clue.

So, what's your point? You got a problem with our marines? What are you fishing around for with all the Aliass'?

The USMC took a lot of burnt out loser kids from high school I remember (Chantilly) and turned them into responsible, logical, and upright citizens. I remember a buddy of mine, Paul, who was a skinny stoner slacker...the USMC made him into a real man and a better person. Total 180. He needed it. BOth USMC and Paul mutually benefited.

It's the government, not the military, that needs to get their shit in order.
