Sarah Palin won't speak to the media during campaign

From Jay Carney's blog on Time.com
According to Nicole Wallace of the McCain campaign, the American people don't care whether Sarah Palin can answer specific questions about foreign and domestic policy. According to Wallace -- in an appearance I did with her this morning on Joe Scarborough's show -- the American people will learn all they need to know (and all they deserve to know) from Palin's scripted speeches and choreographed appearances on the campaign trail and in campaign ads.
I am stunned by the right-wing's blind acceptance of this woman. She has been nominated to a major party's ticket without a single sit-down with a reporter. I have heard multiple radio hosts refer to her as the next Ronald Reagan. You people have lost your fucking minds.

As cruel as naming your child Barack who is so ashamed of it he chose to go by Barry?
Everyone knows that is a racist term used by Ross Perot when addressing a large group of African Americans. Using it is therefore racist. You are supposed to say "You all have lost your fucking minds."

Give me a break. You don't seem to understand why that usage was considered racist when Perot used it in '91. It was offensive then because Perot was addressing a group who looked the same as if they acted as a group. I am specifically referring to a group of people who are acting the same (who only coincidentally look the same). There isn't anything racist about it in the least.

Ross Perot - I nearly had forgotten about him. Thanks for the memories.

Well, I, for one, think that one debate isn't nearly enough to make an informed decision. Obama has been on the national stage for four years now, been through 18 debates, 50 primaries and two books and Republicans are still claiming that we don't know anything about him. Now after One. Single. Fucking. Speech that someone else read that Palin read from a teleprompter they are claiming that we know all we need to know. She's Reagan in a skirt. The next Thatcher. Glen Beck actually said this afternoon that experience doesn't matter--it's judgement that counts. One debate isn't enough for me, thanks.

there are plenty of people that don't like obama's plans to tax what he calls the wealthy (we call them middle class in this area) to pay for all of his programs - they understand he is going after their wallets
but most people don't like to publicly admit they're going to vote for mccain, becuase that seems so uncool when all of the hollywooders are for oprah's obama
so go ahead and blame corruption and all that crap at your peril - stay out of peoples pockets and you might have a chance
and yes the actual results will differ from the polls and exit polls big time
Anyone who assumes this election is in the bag for either candidate is a fool. If republikans can figure out a way to steal the election they will. If democrats can figure out a way to loose the election..they will.
It is time for people to stop just commenting on here...they need to get invlved..donate time and money to the candidate of their choice. You young people have to ensure you actually vote..you are natorious no-shows...and not only that...make sure that at least one friend goes with you and votes.
The religious right is energized with the bitch palin nomination..they are going to try very hard to get their vote out. They singlehandedly got Bush elected two times...now they have one of their own to vote for...just watch out!

It occurs to me In reading the story of Sarah Palin one reads a very American story. Many people around the world and at home will be eager for more of her just as many people around the world were eager for another symbol of Americana that fascinated and captivated them popular rock and roll singers. I'll bet that she would do as well or better in Berlin as Oboma. Not all Americans like Americana though and might prefer different look and sound. Maybe that's at the heart of the Sarah Palin contraversery. I think Sarah Palin will start a whole fashion look that will influence women for years to come.-
McCain is holding up Palin as a threat to the established order in Washington, DC. Palin, who headed up Ted Stevens 527 group. Palin, who hired a former Stevens' staffer to secure nearly $30 million in earmarks for Wasilla, a town of 9,000. Palin, who lobbied Stevens for the Bridge to Nowhere and proudly supported it until it was obvious it was toast (by the way, she kept the earmarks the state received for it. She just didn't build the bridge). Palin, who so outraged the town of Wasilla with a mass firing that the city council hired a city administrator to run day-to-day operations in order to stave off a recall vote for Palin. Palin, who raised sales taxes in Wasilla and borrowed $20 million for a Sports Complex built on land that the city didn't even have the title to.
Sarah Palin is a good speaker. Sarah Palin will say the right things. But in the end, Sarah Palin is a political opportunist that will only make a bad situation in this country worse should she be in the White House with John "Say Anything to Win" McCain.
