Whats with the 18-21 year olds

Why dont you organize to lower the drinking age to 18 as it should be. 18 is old enough to vote, join the military, buy a car, rent a home and in court you are tried as an adult if arrested.

I know one guy who lost his lacrosse scholarship due to an arrest. Seems a bit harsh for drinking a beer. Does anyone really think it deserves to be on the same level crime as assault and battery?

I don't understand your question.

How old was the guy? What was his charge? Was it in the city or county?

The city usually drops those things and gives you a fine. Was it even in VA?

I don't see how it is on the same level as assault and battery.

Was there more to this story.

He had a scholarship to a college in Virginia. He was found guilty in Virginia and part of his scholarship conitions was to not break criminal laws. Most scholarships contain similar language.

Possession of alcohol by someone under 21 and assault and battery are both class one misdemeanors. So basically if you punch a stanger in the face it can carry the same punishment as him holding a beer and being 20 years old. I just dont see it as the same.

Screw that. We should bring back prohibition. Go look at any fail compilation video on Youtube as proof. It's always white kids doing some kind of extreme sport OR drunk White people.

Alcohol is bad for your body. And it encourages all kinds of dangerously self-destructive behavior - like sleeping with low-IQ mud people...
