First off, we don't know where else he's posted this stuff. He could've been tracked through other sources.

Second, it could be someone who knew him. Again, it's unlikely that he only posted here, and he's most likely spoken parts of this in front of other people who would recognize it.

Third, he went on for a few days, mentioning the CIA and others along the way. Logs may have been provided by Cary's internet provider.

Those are just three possibilities. Assuming that the FBI could only find him with Cary's help is just that - an assumption.
