The Daily Caller – “Police are investigating an anonymous forum poster who praised Boston bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and later made a threat against a Catholic high school in Fairfax, Virginia.

The online poster goes by the handle ‘Prophet Muhammad’ and has made several disturbing statements on the Fairfax Underground website in the last month.

His posts, lol

Did anyone other than the Police takes those posts seriously?

I guess they have to be "checked out", but geez...

I also guess this means that Cary is getting subpoenaed?

All it takes is one shot like this, and FFXU records could become Police property. Seems inevitable, really.

You'd have to be pretty stupid to make threats like that anyways with all the shit going on over the past decade. Look at the petty but threatening email verbiage that got that Loudoun County resident "Terrorism" charges recently.

It wasn't a threat.

A threat would be "I'm going to..." or "There will be...", not "God Willing" or "I Hope".

Yes, there's a difference.

Im pretty sure subpoenas like this generally apply to only specific records of the specific user. Everyoen's posting history is not in jeopardy.

The kids and parents have been notified, there was a bomb sweep over the weekend. No threat found. But P.M should know better. The kid who recently shot up a mall in southern VA posted about it online. So of course this kind of thing will be taken seriously.

He has learned his lesson on trolling I bet! Allah Snackbar that shit!

Yea you're right. Former SF, then bomb analyst and forensics technician for the FBI. And currently work for a private contractor in EOD. I'd be a prime candidate to level a state, but I would NEVER because I love my country despite it's imperfections. And although its filled with degenerates like you, I would die to protect it and our people.

That was a threat... I'm shaking in my boots now.

Even though you're too stupid to know which version of "its" gets an apostrophe, I'm sure you'll be tracking me down shortly.

And lets see: dick pics and some of the other shit you've posted here is pretty fucking queer, MPD queer.

Let me break it down for you, genius.

This is an unregistered handle. It can be shared by an unlimited number of people.

I've never posted a "dick pic", and unlike you, I haven't been seeking them out, so I was unaware of what this handle had been used for before.

But it's good that you're keeping track of who's got your favorite porn. Those things are important to know.

Keep fooling yourself with that unregistered handle crap, coward. There are ways to trace steps that lead back to you and your pathetic life behind that monitor. It would be illegal for me, but not impossible for my former colleagues. Could be fun to give Hoffman something to chew on though.

They'll take him out of context... FCPS does that very well.

All the Magistrate (and many folks here) will ever see is:

......................

Over the course of several days, the suspect wrote several postings on a local blog which has been a known haven of dangerous criminals.

In one representative post, he aludes to his plans for terroristic activity, including the message:

"9/11 is nothing compared to what Allah has planned for you!"

The suspect also makes several references to his pedophilia, and confesses to a past act in which he raped an unnamed child:

"I popped her when she was 9."

I'm curious to hear whether Cary turned over his IP. And if he did, was it with a court order?

I think part of the reason for free speech is to protect people from Cops who're dumb enough that they can't distinguish between a threat and satire.

I didn't think the posts were amusing, but yeah, the trolling is pretty obvious. The sentiment is clearly anti-muslim, though he seems to show some knowledge of the culture - at least I'm guessing so... if I try to "speak Muslim", then "Durka Durka Durka" is about the best I can do.

I'm sure I'm missing some. Can anyone come up with others?

BTW, I think the act of posting as "Prophet Muhammad" would get someone killed in a country that's under Sharia Law.

"Fairfax City Police have identified and interviewed the man behind a series of online posts saying Paul VI Catholic High School would be the scene of a "massacre" similar to the Boston Marathon Bombings. But an investigation has found the threats have "no nexus to terrorism," officials said Friday.

The poster, who calls himself "Prophet Mohammed," praised the alleged Boston Marathon bombers in a thread on the Fairfax Underground website last week, before posting a message that read "Inshallah, Paul VI High School will be the scene of another massacre. Allahu akbar!"

Sgt. Kyle Penman of the Fairfax City Police said in an e-mail to Patch on Friday his department's investigation "has found no nexus to terrorism and the threat was determined to be a hoax."

Though the suspect has not been arrested at this point, Penman said "the facts are being reviewed by the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for a determination if prosecution is warranted."

The department is not releasing the suspect's name at this time.

After other Fairfax Underground readers allegedly reported the disturbing posts last week, Fairfax City police swept and searched the school over the weekend, and increased their presence on campus this week during their investigation.

If you have reason to believe that somebody has posted something that could possibly be twisted into a "threat", please call my office immediately. We can accept verbatim copies, but any efforts to remove the context would be sincerely appreciated.

Your information will be held in semi-strict confidence, and you can rest assured that arrests are unlikely to be made.

No... they didn't arrest him, but they scared the hell out of him, and he apparently had a complete breakdown after that.

I guess when the commonwealth's attorney decides to prosecute we'll know who Yucky24. really is.

He hasn't been here in three days. Coincidence?

There's nothing to prosecute him for. The next move is a Denention Order if they can convince a Magistrate that he might harm himself or others.

A few days in the psycho-ward being force-fed medication will make it easier to "prove" that he needs long-term "help".

Of course, if they leak his name, some hard-core Muslim might actually clean up the mess. Posing as their Prophet could be considered a pretty big deal.

Yucky24. and Prophet Muhammad post in the same time frame each day

Just shows you that the police can and will find anonymous posters! Pretty damn fast too! So funny! Makes you wonder what he thought when the police came to his house and if he'll ever post here again!

I'm sure there will be "Yucky24." impersonators, since the name isn't registered.

I don't think it's Yucky. But who knows?

On this, we can agree. I was curious about this myself after i saw he'd trolled the pvi page(which now has over 14k views), and other people were saying he wasn't being serious, or "trolling"

Here's the dates and hours that "Prophet Muhammad" posted.

Date/HourCount
03/23/2013 22:004
03/24/2013 13:002
03/24/2013 14:001
03/24/2013 21:004
04/19/2013 20:009
04/21/2013 21:004

As you can see, he generally posted between 8:00 and 11:00 PM, although there was an instance where he posted a few times on the afternoon of March 24.

Generally speaking, this is consistent with times when Yucky24 also posted, as shown by the plot below.

I wonder if the same person posted this:

http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/1169233/1169486.html#msg-1169486

or this:

http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/1167539/1168918.html#msg-1168918

Maybe the FCPD, who appear to be able to find folks really fast, along with their federal friends should try to find this one, too.

Yucky24. makes that sorority girl from University of Maryland look like a Buddhist monk. This might get interesting if his name gets out.

You're so cute, Chuck.

Yucky may be a miserable piece of shit, but he's not stupid. He's not going to threaten a school. These juvenile threats are probably the work of a high school kid.

Sure, do you know him? How do you know he isn't "that stupid"?

Your comment is irrelevant.

If they are, he's a slightly better informed than average high-school kid.

Personally, I pegged the author as an upper-middle class white male between 18 and 25 years of age, with at least some college education. I am unsure if it's yucky24, but I would not doubt it as yucky has at least a passing familiarity with Islam, which would allow him to include some of the ideas and language he used making his threats.

I also imagine that regardless of whether it was yucky or not, he completely shit his pants when the Fairfax City PD showed up at his door wanting to talk to him and instantly attempted to distance himself from the entire thing as him just trolling Fairfax Underground.

I imagine the conversation was hysterically funny as he furiously backpedaled and tried to explain that it was all just a joke, especially as police officers are notably humor-impaired when it comes to terrorist threats.

The number one rule w.r.t. the police asking you questions about your own behavior is to respectfully decline to answer any questions and to request the officers not to ask any further, if necessary citing the 5th amendment protections.

That, BTW, is directly from BOTH a law professor/former defense attorney AND a police officer:

Why not? Because it literally can do you no good.

[the video is a good one - a little long, but good]

Cary was subpoenaed a while back when someone posted a police officer's home address.

....and I'm sure the police will charge this person with something, if anything just to make an example of him/her. It did cost them taxpayer money to sweep the school and add a police presence....

Something tells me a minor did this.

You mean to cover their own embarrassment, since no intelligent Prosecutor is going to recognize that as a threat?

Sure, they spent money (more precisely, they allocated resources), but it's not coming out of their pockets. On the other hand, the person who takes that case in front of a magistrate is likely to look like a fool.

The answer will probably be to bring him in for psychiatric observation so that they can claim that something was accomplished.

The moment we draw a line and decide that "wishing bad things" for someone counts as a crime will be the moment that "free speech" is completely and utterly lost.

This might come as a shock to you, but Chuck is not the only poster on this site who is more intelligent than you and your auto-uncorrecting phone.
