McLEAN, Va. - Fairfax County police are searching for the person who painted a racial epithet on a historic black church in McLean over the weekend.

Parishioners at First Baptist Church of Chesterbrook found the word spray-painted next to the front door of the church Sunday morning. Police didn't say what slur was used, but WUSA-TV reports it was the N-word.

Police say they later discovered additional graffiti at Chesterbrook Elementary School. They believe the markings were made by the same person or group of people.

Destruction of property is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.



Parishioners say they are shocked by the racist graffiti.

This is one of the most annoying trends I have ever seen in journalism. The word is "nigger." An ugly word, to be sure, but do we have to behave like resort to using phrases like "the n-word" instead of just saying it--nigger? Somebody spray painted the word "nigger" on the church door. There--I said it.

Of course people who use that word are considered losers. That's not my point. If a person uses it--say Jesse Jackson--and you are writing a story about that don't shellac over it and tell me he used a naughty word that begins with an 'n'. Just use the word in the story. My eyes won't melt if I see it on paper.

If I or any other person not of the "black" race utters or writes the word "nigger" in ANY context, we are automatically labeled racist hillbilly slavemasters but its perfectly acceptable to for the IP's to say "WHITE ASS MOTHER FUCKER" and nobody raises an eyebrow. Don't misunderstand, spraypainting the word "nigger" on a church is as unacceptable as spraypainting a swastika or the word "kike" on a jewish temple.

If the word "nigger" is used by ANYONE in a newsworthy event, then the event should be reported exactly, word for word, but we all know thats not how the "acceptable" journalistas( see WIKI listing for Fairy Tales) do it.

Since my Grandfather was "Black" and Grandmother was "White", I can be and have been called both "Nigger" and "White Ass Mother Fucker", the best of both worlds, so to speak.
