Savagery is everywhere,of course more rampant in third world countries.

But if horrible places like Moscow and Bejing can clean up for The Olympics, so can Rio.

And Rio, as you can see in the above photo, has many wonderful sights.

White people who visit Central and South American countries are just asking for it IMO. You might as well have a target painted on your back. The locals think that all Americans are rich and over-privileged. They DO NOT like you and will not hesitate to kidnap/rape/murder you.

The touristy areas of Carribean islands are ok and there are a few other exceptions such as Chile. But that's only because they have a relatively large European population and you won't stick out quite as badly.

Im sure if you stick to the well trodden path you will be fine. Come on now. Its the Olympics and there are plenty of fun to be had. Maybe blag your way in as an Olympics trainer or sponsor and athlete. Or hell conceal and carry if you are THAT scared. It cant be that dangerous in the touristy areas.
