Are Gypsies thieves

I went to high school with a gypsy. The guy would steal anything that wasnt nailed down. It was a weekly event that he was caught breaking into a locker. Stealing from the cafeteria and helping himself to items in unlocked cars.

I knew some in New York city, they have a unique way of looking at that subject. They feel (some) that they have a special dispensation or priviledge to steal. They are the true Aryan race. One of the few not to have a mixture of blood from different nationalities.

All the TV shows that had an episode on Gypsies like Big Valley, Andy Griffin Show, Mayberry RFD, Petticoat Junction, Bonanza, Get Smart, etc. etc., portrayed them as crooks and bogus fortune tellers and kidnappers and horse thieves. There has to be some truth somewhere, why would some of these respected shows say otherwise?
