Deep Throat star Harry Reems dead of porn-related

Reems - real name Herbert Streicher – had suffered a long period of ill health in the years prior to his death, according to his spouse.
He gained infamy in the 1970s as the male star opposite Linda Lovelace in Deep Throat, one of the first major porn films to gain wide publicity.
Reems became further embroiled in controversy for a 1976 conviction of attempting to bring obscene material across state lines, although the decision was ultimately overturned.
He went on to appear in hundreds of other porn films, including The Devil in Miss Jones, and grindhouse movies like Sex Wish.
Reems later converted to Christianity and ended years of substance abuse to become a real estate agent towards the end of his life.
He will be portrayed by The OC's Adam Brody in the upcoming biopic Lovelace, which is a film adaptation of Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace's journey from porn star to feminist advocate
