Speaking on his return from North Korea, the unlikely diplomat said: "He loves basketball. ... I said Obama loves basketball. Let's start there" as a way to warm up relations between the US and North Korea.

"He asked me to give Obama something to say and do one thing. He wants Obama to do one thing, call him," Rodman told ABC's This Week.

The State Department criticised North Korea last week for "wining and dining" Rodman while its own people go hungry.

I don't know if you saw his interview with George Steponahippopotamus, but he made himself look like a total assface by saying KJU is a great man, that he said to tell Obama to call the Great Leader, and that his people love him because he is so caring.

The best way to get rid of your enemies is to make them your friends.

Maybe a fake blond ex basketball player and a CEO/chairman/whatever-he-is of a search engine will get that started.

Rodman should be the United States Ambassador to North Korea.

He and Kim Jong-Un can hang out, and ultimately the Despot will see nuclear capability is over rated , and all that matters is basketball, sex, drugs and cross dressing.

I saw the George Stephanopolis interview and thought Rodman seemed a little adrift, called Kim his friend, even though George kept asking him if he was aware of Kims mass imprisonments and other human rights violations. Rodman barely touched on a relevant point, in that we're not too different with the # of people we have in prison (2+ million).

We have an opportunity to influence Kim since he's young and interested in our culture. Ironically maybe it takes someone like Rodman to open the dialog.

That was the only decent point he made during the entire interview. The rest of the time, he was too busy making himself look like an arrogant and pretentious douche, who is too ignorant of a celebrity to be in touch with reality.

This may end up being exactly like the Ping Pong Diplomacy, brought upon by the table tennis exhibitions in the '70s, that led to Nixon's visit to China. Rodman will go back again and try to set up a visit with Obama. Even if this were to happen, I doubt North Korea would be able to emulate the state controlled open market system that the Chinese implemented. As far as Super China is concerned, wait until their commercial and housing bubble bursts; it will be way worse than just newly built empty malls and uninhabited ghost cities.
