Amusing comment from some loser not happy with the direction of gaming consoles.

"Do people still play games on TVs? Do people still even use TVs? Its just such a hassle to have to boot up a console, change inputs, boot up a game, wait for loading. I don't have time for that anymore. What they need to do is bring back sega channel. Integrate game playing with TV...where i switch to a channel, grab a remote, and start playing.

If PS and XBOX are trying to turn into entertainment hubs...why don't they offer the same services as a cable box? The ability to watch TV, DVR, share what im watching on facebook.

Again, it might not sound like a big deal, but as an aging adult who always loved games, consoles are just far too annoying to use nowadays. PCs are nice..they are always one, im on it anyway, I can navigate through the menu system(explorer?) quickly. The idea of streaming games is awesome, and if done right, it will really revolutionize the genre."

This guy acts as though he wasting his life waiting the few minutes it takes load a game via console. News flash to him, waiting to play a game or playing the game, he is still wasting his life!

lol...Yea pretty much. It's just big as hell. It's like holding a Ipad with joysticks on it. My wife set connected it to our Xfinity box and it worked.

Nothing earth shattering from the press release, just that the new processor will be able to handle the next decade of graphics requirements. The controller looks the same, the touchpad is kinda neat.

Sony also confirmed it will not kill the used game market like it was rumored. Games can be played on any console.

Ahmayzin's comment with the iPad.....I tried playing some games on the iPad, they do a pretty good job with the touch screen controls, but it just doesn't feel the same as when you use a controller or keyboard.

Bill Gates predicted the death of consoles way back when, it was when Sega still had the Dreamcast out. Looks like they are here to stay.

It is amazing how long it has been since a new game console has been released.

There was an article about that, the PS3 and Xbox 360 were so advanced for their time, there was no need for a new cycle of consoles for some time. Now, with Sony's claim that their PS4 processor can handle graphics until 2018-2023, who knows how long this upcoming generation will last.

If you missed Metak Gear Solid 3, then I feel sorry for you.

Anyhow, I won't be buying the PS4 until I'm done with GTA V. Why bother?
