Obama - Football Is Too Dangerous

Obama thinks football is a scary and dangerous sport. He wouldn't let his son play the game, if he had a son.

What a wus! Liberals are such babies.

Well, look at what happened to Treyvon. I mean, if he had been B. Husseins son, he would not have been allowed to pay.

Football is just too American for Barry Soeto. He wants to see it replaced by something more European, like soccer.

Next up Barry will want combat troops to wear skirts, less offensive to the sand people

Soccer is pretty dangerous also
My neighbor's son got a concussion from the bouncing the ball on his head. I think maybe Obama could allow soccer but stop some of the more dangerous parts.

Obama needs to take a good long look at these sports and make sure we're not committing child abuse.

It's not good to teach kids to be agressive.

Everyone knows soccer is the gayest sport on the planet, next to bike riding if you can call that a sport.

Not really, I've seen guys pushing each other. I even saw a couple of guys get into a fight

And I often see people on bikes without helmuts

This stuff has to end.

I agree with Obama. It's time to have a natioaal discussion about agression and the message it is giving the kids.

How about before we do anything, we teach you how to spell. Manassas schools really need to step up.

It is a personal choice.

I'm responsible for my boys' health until they take over that responsibility for themselves.

I did some research. I'm not putting any of them into football. Unfortunately, it will be too late for them to play pro by the time they can decide for themselves.

There are other sports. I'm not pinning their future success on a professional career in any sport.

who's talking about pinning their kids' future success on a career in sports? only a parent too involved with himself pins his kids' future success on something he chooses.

just talking about kids playing sports.

glad you did your research........

how 'bout letting your kids choose the sports they like..... OMG, what a radical idea.

Not while I'm responsible for them. You can raise your own kids in your superior manner. There are too many other sports without as many head injury issues.

There are parents who spend 60,000 dollars or more on baseball showcases, travel/select teams, and the like. They expect to get BIG scholarships from Division I colleges as a result of their investments. What happens? They get a 30,000 dollar scholarship for some DII team, and they insist that their kid not take it.

Teach your children that academics come FIRST. Sports are second.

wrong

it is responsible parenting

you do not let your kids choose any food, bedtime or action in general

football is the most boring organized sport on earth

8-10 minutes of actual play during a 3 hour event, and divide that by offense, defense and special teams

pick-up football rules with like 5 a side

i was an athlete and chose to play a dozen sports - youth, mid and high school + some in college, house and travel....played organized football about 3 weeks and realized how boring that shit was + it is dangerous to younger kids

I have seen at least 15 kids injured, 3 or 4 ambulance had to enter field (neck injury worries) over the course of 1 season of 11-12 year old football

So, it was OK for YOU to choose, but not OK for your kids to play kick-ball without your approval.

Did you have horrible parents?

Let your kids go outside and let them play.

Your kids are in daycare, aren't they........ of course, they are.

They'll never play outside without supervision. Poor kids, growing up boring.

Do you make your kids wear helmets in the car?
