"To the dismay of the US, junior Malian officers trained as part of $620m pan-Sahelian counter-terrorism initiative launched in 2002 to help four semi-desert states resist Islamic militancy took part in a coup in March last year. Others among them defected to the Tuareg revolt that eventually led to a coalition of Islamist militias, allied with Algerian militants from al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, capturing the northern two-thirds of Mali."

Nobody can fight the USA.

We are too strong of a military.

So we train them to be better at fighting so that they can be seen as a real threat.

Then we hope they jump the fence to the other side so we can kill them for some future reason for political gains and brownie points with the american people and the TV viewing audiance as a whole.

Its just one big fuckup.

The US used AQIM to stage rebellion in Libya.

It happens all the time.

The US has done many stupid things. Backing Castro was one of them.

Terrorists are like mercenaries. In addition to money, their motivations can be exploited or influenced by third parties to do their bidding.

We gave Stinger missles to radical muslims in Afghanistan to take down Soviet aircraft. Who didnt see that coming back to bite us in the ass? Now the U S has no idea where the missles are or what they will be used against.

From what I understand, the batteries of those missiles are all well used up.

I have you now.

We gave the Syrian rebels surface-to-air missiles. The way the US newspapers report it, we gave the terrorists non-lethal aid (money) and Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other allies supplied them with arms (they sold them).

Its interesting how some people have been saying 9/11 was an inside job since it happened and people have always been quick to call them crazy for even entertaining the idea even after stuff like this comes out years later. Al Qaeda was trained and funded by the CIA and the military industrial complex. The CIA has used them to push political agendas for a long time and now proof is starting to come out they theyve been playing both sides of the fence the whole time, yet people are still quick to call you a crazy conspiracy theorist if you even question the governments offical story regarding 9/11 which, when you look at the facts objectively, just doesnt make any sense!

Tell me one major difference between a Salifist jihidist and and jihadist networks such as Hamas or Hezbollah. Since you know so much about terrorism, this should be simple.

**Edit--I fucked up and took the bait**

I have you now.

Google CIA and BND (German Secret Service) involvement in the Balkans separatist movements, namely Bosnia and Kosovo.

So much for using the war on terror or global islamism as cover. It's about reconquest by the old colonial powers.

"The goal is the total reconquest of Mali," French Defence Minister Le Drian said in televised remarks. "We will not leave any pockets" of resistance.

Silly clown. You should know Hamas and Hezbollah are militias, not shadowy networks. Take that WOT BS somewhere else.

You're not making money until you're selling arms to both sides of a conflict.
