It's way more original/nice looking than i thought it would be. I was thinking it was going to end up looking like a camaro with a slanted front hood.

it's... sexy. Is there a price tag on it yet?

Meh. Looks kinda chunky. I was hoping they'd keep heading toward a more clean sports car design. e.g., more along the lines of Ferrari, etc., versus a sorta-Camaro/Mustang looking thing.

With all the excellent dual clutch computer controlled manual transmissions these days, who the fuck wants to row their own gears. GM, get a clue.

Sad but true. Even on my m5 the automatic is so much quicker then the manual. Maybe not as fun but, the daul clutch computer controlled tranny is quicker then any human can shift.

Not crazy about the rear tail lights and I could live without the hood scoop thingy. However the interior looks good. Corvettes have always had subpar interiors. Looks like they took the hint. Overall, I’m not sure what I think about it. Don’t love it but don’t hate it. I need to see one in person.

It would break too much with tradition, plus rear and mid engined cars are really hard to control. I remember when the Acura NSX was out, car reviewers said it could spin out like a spin top and it was difficult to restore control...

The Corvette isn't that expensive to insure, especially compared to the insurance rates for the Mitsubishi Evo or Subaru WRX. I think it says a lot about the age group that drives the Corvette.

I really dislike the state of the automobile right now and the Corvette is just another example...

Every car within the same class looks like everything else and the same cars year to year don't change like they used. There was a time where you could not only state make and model on sight but, the year too.

The last Corvette with any character and class was the '63 StingRay splittie. After that, they became as mentioned above...penis extensions and too Asian in their appearance. And I don't care what people say about the performance of the automatic transmission...real Corvettes have three pedals. You might be quicker in the same car with that automatic in a straight line but, I'll paint your little red wagon with a third pedal on a roadcourse.

The ONE thing Chevrolet did get right on this Corvette is the option to assemble the engine yourself with supervision at the factory. You've always been able to take delivery at the factory but now you get to build the heart of the beast, too...and still maintain all warranties therein.

Maybe you should stick to economy cars. I get so fucking jealous when I see an exotic car, it really angers me. I would be so much happier if everyone had a <$4k car like I have. All those successful, I mean small penis faggots driving those cars should be kilt!

Sorry buddy, my GTR will still spank you around the corners and in a straight line. I was really hoping they would have made it smaller and sleeker like the Italians, Japs, and Germans. Dual clutch auto trannies, are faster then your manual, hate to say it as much as I love a good old manual transmission. While you are fucking around with the 3rd pedal, rev matching, moving the gear, my GTR has done it all in a split second.

Ok, hold on...let's take it slow, asswipe...

I agree. A GT-R vs. Corvette in a straight line OR a roadcourse the GT-R wins. Everytime. Both situations. And twice on Sunday...AND YOU KNOW WHY?!?!?! Because these two cars are not in the same class. OF COURSE the fucking GT-R is a better car...it's an AWD she-beast that starts at NINETY-SIX THOUSAND FUCKING DOLLARS you simp. The Corvette is 2WD and starts at $49,000. The GT-R will even smoke the Corvette 427. AND YOU KNOW WHY?!?!?! The Corvette 427 starts at $75,000 and it's STILL 2WD. Again, you're not comparing cars in the same class.

Now then...let's get back to my original statement. Clarified for your protection, shit-stain...

If you take TWO Corvettes (or hell, two GT-R's if it comes with a manual transmission) that are in every way identical except...one has an automatic transmission and the other my beloved, proper third pedal. On the straight...the automatic wins. On the roadcourse...the third pedal wins.

Please show me a racing series where Corvettes race against GT-R's...

ZR1 and the z06 will both spank that over priced Nissan v6. Sure full bolt ons and race gas will get that boat to 600awhp, but a ls7 with a lil spray would put Godzilla to shame by easily doing mid to high nines with a 150 shot. And with all the money you have to spend on brakes and trannys that you break, you could buy a second z06, or a forged turbo Lsx putting out over 1000hp all day. All from a half century old pushrod motor.

Before we all drop trow and start measuring the size of our engines and drivetrains, let's be mindful of one simple axiom - the car does not make the driver. GM or GTR is a pointless debare if you go through gears like a masturbating 10 year old boy.

I think the C7 is very really sweet. The only thing that I am not sure about is the taillights. This is the first Corvette ever to not have round taillights. The lights on the C7 look to much like the Camaro lights. I will be getting one in the second year of production, I want them to work out and problems with the first year car. I have a C6 now and love it. Insurance is not bad at all as long as you are not a kid and have a clean record. I pay more for my wifes Murano then I do my Vette.

The Original Axis (japs and Germans) make the best cars.period

I loved my 4Runner and my FJ40 and my 5series. I've gone through a couple 3/4 pickups (Ford and Chevy) I have a Ford now and they're just not as good a product as the Toyotas and BMWs.

I get 250,000+ out of the foreign cars, and 150,000- out of the American Cars.
I spend too much time driving.

American cars:
Fit and finish....Bleh
Efficiency........Bleh (for the trucks)
Fun to drive......Bleh
Fast..............Bleh

Rediculously overpowered.... yes (trucks, I had a vortec 8.2 in one of those suckers that could pull FFXU out of the ground. The 8.2 actually stands for the mpg)

If I had the cash to splurge on a fast car, I would, and it would not be an American Car. Probably go German. I'd take one of those 458 Italias I keep seeing around here.

That's nice for a vette, but its a loser's car.
