At first my knew my guess was wrong and the kid was in a car accident or had cancer out out of him or was a victim of an animal attack.


But my above choices are wrong and I left one other choice out which is the true one.

The boy got this way because the mother refused to pay attention to the doctors advice by not taking any medication or illegal drugs while being pregnant.

The mothers selfish desires to feel good taking the drugs was more normal than having a normal child. If I ever run itnto this kid in real life when he is an adult I will then tell him the truth of his disfigurement was the lack of a spine on his mothers part.

Taking ANY drug will fuck up your child for sure. If I was the father I'd kill the mother who did this to the kid. No kid is born like this being drug free. Unless you live on the love canal which is a famous town that was closed down for being toxic and people were forced to move out.


Toxic environment then mother and father and all the CEO's involved should also be shot. It is a sick sick sick world we live in and its mothers like that who want to give birth to alien weird shit.

Obviously if eesh found the photos, the kid is not hidden away. However, how would you feel if this was your kid, your brother, a cousin, the son of your best friend? Have some compassion. He's a bright little boy who deserves a break in life since he's obviously had a rough start. The little guy was adopted into a loving home and given a wonderful chance in life.

That was way over the line, Eesh, to use a kid's birth defects to gross people out. I was much happier not having heard of this particular thing that can go wrong in amnio and you could just have linked to the kid's story instead of posting all these huge, nauseating photos to the group.

Thanks to those of you who are responding sympathetically to the kid - he clearly does have very caring parents. Kid is lucky in that regard and it looks like he can look forward to a decent future. Can you imagine if some of the [unnamed] FUers were his parents? He'd be screwed for life.

I firmly believe that abortion should be extended 30 to 90 days after birth, to deal with disabilities like this. I believe people with Down's syndrome should be euthanized, and I am a supporter of eugenics.

Its not his fault and it could have happened to anyones child. My grand daughter was born missing half of her left arm from the elbow down. Her mom did every thing right while she was pregnant. Sometimes things just happen. Everyone that has said something mean about this child is ignorant.

You really have 17 kids?

No one is saying that this little boy should be hidden away, but you as an adult should know better than to exploit the sorrows of a little boy just for your own entertainment. There is nothing wrong with this child. He may have been born with medical issues, gotten in an accident, or any other thing could have happened to him. But for an adult to do nothing but sit around on their ass and make cruel and unkind comments about a beautiful little boy such as this one is truly sickening.

He has amniotic band syndrome of the face, as well as poland syndrome (Lacking a left pectoral muscle) he also has some areas on his body effected by ABS as well, i believe around one of his knees there is some light scarring. He's had several surgeries and will continue to until his late teens. He lacks part of his orbital bone due to the ABS and his jaw is twisted to the left, he also has several issues with his mouth and teeth.

He comes from a very good family, he was adopted from the Ukraine in 2008 i believe. I have spoken to his adoptive mom several times, and she is a great woman and loves her son very much, he's the 3rd youngest now as the family has adopted another 2 special needs boys from the Ukraine.

You guys are so fucked up for posting these pix. I chat with this kids mother via her blog site and he's a perfectly normal boy who had a few complications prior to being born. He's a smart kid and with the advancements in medical technology he will look totally normal by the time he's 18.

I know the family thru his adoptive mothers blog, he was was born in the Ukraine and his birth defects were caused by amniotic band syndrome. Fibrous strands of the uterine wall became detached wrapping around his head causing problems while he was developing, judging by the fact that most of his face is perfectly intact except for his eye and some scarring id assume that this happened somewhat late in the pregnancy, Ive seen other children born with ABS to the face, and their heads have been severed in half. ABS can be very serious, usually the fibers wrap around limbs causing them to amputate within the womb.

Unfortunately in backwards ass countries from the former Soviet Union, a child born like this is considered a disgrace and are usually put in adoption shelters and if not adopted by 6 years old are placed in terrible terrible institutions almost like prisons where they will never know what love feels like. You guys who poke fun at this little dude deserve a good fucking ass kicking.

ok so at likely great cost a surgeon did what he'd been trained to do (noting 1/2 of his schooling was funded by tax money, btw)

democrats like to waive this flag for infinite funding of the disabled, which ends up being things like robotic studies and million dollar prosthesis, which government workers end up getting jobs for planning and creating and such

what's known is cells seem to decide their place and function by their environment (their neighbor cells, but also anything that's there including what is not supposed to be there or is missing)
