For $99, this lab takes your saliva and tells you about your ancestral DNA, how much Neanderthal DNA you have, your risk of certain diseases, and what inherited conditions you will pass to your children.

The reviews looked promising. I just ordered it myself, for $99 thats not bad. I looks like they are actually losing money in order to reach on million sales.
I did something like this with another company, and was surprised to learn that I have about 6% west african DNA and 6% native american DNA (I'm blonde haired and blue eyed).
Be careful shaking your family tree, cuz you never know what color apple is gonna fall out of it.
If you do go for it, use the free service (Promethease) that SNPedia offers to get a second opinion. The founders are actually just across the river (like, NIH area).

it's also why democrats doing egg research are total (#(* liars.
that's many many steps into the process. there's no way one can "edit cells a few at a time" that's full of crap.
and you'd be lucky to get a single heart surgery and they didn't take everything you owned you may as well be dead when you get the bill. and these poeple want to build gov infrastructure in MD so they can hobnob and do gravy work instead of patch broken arms (or pick metal out of an eye) and get less pay than they'd hoped for.
religious issues aside they're science liars. they know there's no damn chance of making anything but glowing rats with that.
I did it and it came back with a very small % of native DNA (supports family history) also a carrier for the severe form of hemochromatosis. I think they've stopped providing health results, though.

Yep. The FDA is coming down hard on these genomics companies. Fortunately, since I ordered back in the middle of the summer '13, I was exempt from the FDA ruling.

Also, I'm significantly more likely to develop Alzheimer's (like my dad and grandma) as well as A-fib. Yee haw!
