why do gay guys love poppers so much?

I've noticed a lot of gay men use poppers. It doesn't make sense to me. Amyl Nitrates are about the dirtiest, cheapest, yuckiest high you can get. I hear Charles Nelson Reilly died while having gay sex and doing poppers.

With the other available orifices , it baffles me why anyone would want to stick their cock in a shit caked wrong way street.

Equally confusing is trying to understand the allure of poppers, when there are so many other more pleaseant substances to enjoy.

But for sodomites, who seem to enjoy feces and pain, the use of poppers seems normal.

Where can you get poppers? Cuz I've seen them in very advanced first aid kits, but never really thought to swipe one. And who knows, modern kits probably have some kinda weak ass fake amylnitrate.
