The gun industry will use this tragedy to actually increase sales. Watch. They will claim Obama is coming for your guns, so get a good one now. They sold 11M guns in the US last year. Apparently, that's not enough.

Blame 24 hour news, the internet, YouTube, and social media.

If our grandparents had access to instant information like we do now, we would've grown up hearing stories about this stuff.

Seriously. Just look at all the hurt butts flaming the Sandy Hook JOKES thread. I doubt anyone directly involved in these events is reading that thread. But there are a lot of people who are passionately attacking that thread.

Before cable and internet, an event that happened half-way across the country affected the people who were there, and everyone else would read about it in the paper the morning after. Now people who had no relationship to the victims and have no idea where this school is even located are upset, traumatized, looking for answers.

No worries. The police will protect us!

I know. Baton, pepper spray, a couple tear gas canisters, stun gun and a bean-bag load shotgun are all you really need for a day of fun in the park.

Why choose when you can have them all?

The red stock might signify a less-than-lethal version or something.

Perhaps that guy is firing a plastic bullet or one that has pepper powder?

The magazine is pretty long, too long to be useful in tactical situations. Going prone would be difficult unless you turned the rifle sideways.
