I agree with you more or less. But. WTL, whatever he may be, is a pleasant poster who I could disagree with about some some random topic and be certain that it wouldn't degenerate into name calling or a flame war that would spread into other threads.

He also was a big poster in the Big O and Dukes and Mike O'Meara threads, which is how I found this place to begin with. He was (and still is) always cool in my book

I saw the WTOP and WaPo articles on the Fairfax High grade scandal and couldn't help but stopping by.

I've been gone for pretty much close to two years - left the law firm world to go in house at a large company that was a BASKET CASE in terms of its compliance programs. After cleaning up there, a competing firm to the firm I left lured be back to DC. So, I've been back for about a year...but....

in coming back to real law firm life, I got bumped up to of counsel status. Part of the partner/of counsel agreement with the firm encompasses some very strong language regarding not posting comments or affiliation with sites that would cause harm to the firm's reputation or to firm clients.

Given that my job pays me a hell of alot more than FairfaxUnderground would (or most any other places for that matter), the choice to give FFXU the heave ho was pretty easy.

But since I caught this little jewel of a thread at home and after the WaPo article came out, I couldn't resist coming back to the "mothership" for a bit.

I see that a lot of the regulars have moved on - for whatever reason.

Anyhow, I'm around for a day or so before I head out west for some well deserved R&R.

This forum was a HELL OF A LOT cooler even just a couple years ago.

There were a ton more posters and lots of great discussions every day.

We only have one man to thank ruining it all, EESH.
