American Horror Story

I'm watching this and it's good and creepy and fun to watch, but does anyone have any idea what the fuck is going on with this story? It looks like everyone in the asylum is crazy including the two nuns and the doctor.

bumping an old thread

I just finished Asylum. This show's writing is brilliant, and the pacing is consistent. The writers of The Walking Dead could learn a thing or two from this show.

Agreed. BUT wait till you get to season 3 (Coven). What a fucking train wreck...

Season 4 better live up to the first two or I'm out.

I thought Season 1 was weak and Asylum was off the charts. Coven was retarded from the jump start.

Kate Mara was really hot in season 1. I want that crazy ghost bitch to fuck me.

Coven was the first season I actually watched from start to finish. Cheesy, but entertaining.

The demon possessed nun was hot, and James Cromwell was perfect in his role. I think the most disturbing mental patient was the psychopath little girl that was dropped off by her mom.

Yes, I'm watching Murder House right now. Kate Mara is hot; I love women with borderline personality disorder.

Blessed are the murderous.

Season 4 starts in October. I think it's supposed to have a circus/freak show theme.

From Wiki:

"The fourth season will be set in Jupiter, Florida and will be centered around one of the few remaining freak shows of the 1950s, as its members do anything to keep the business alive. The season will focus on the conflict between the freaks and the "evil forces" who do not understand them. The season will also feature a "clown killer" and a "bearded lady."

I thought the clown guy was kinda scury. But that horrible bit of acting he did in the trailer scene ruined it. The musical number at the end was the nail in the coffin.

The show takes place twenty years before that David Bowie song she sung was released....not to mention that style of singing was nonexistent in the 50s.

She sounded like she was really struggling with the singing, I don't know if this was intentional, or if she couldn't keep up the fake German accent while trying to sing at the same time.

Blessed are the murderous.

This season, once again, reeks of the obnoxious gay agenda. Had the same issue with Coven.

"They just don't understand us maaaaan!"

This not so subtle message of tolerance from the show's publicly gay co-creator, Ryan Murphy, feels so overbearing, it's hard for me to really enjoy the show. I'm all for gays being free to do their gay thing, but the message feels too forced in this case.

I believe it was intentional. The German lady wants to be a famous singer, so she puts the two-headed girl in her freak show to sell more tickets. We then learn that the two-headed girl is a good singer. This annoys the German lady. Conflict presented.

I imagine it's changed a bit since the 1950s.

In the first season (Haunted House), the gay couple was portrayed as a couple of materialistic perverts that kill babies and wear BDSM fetish gear.

Blessed are the murderous.
