His MEADE MUSIC Lp (vinyl) probably cost about $850 for 100 copies custom pressed, or about $8.50 per. The 12" Eps on vinyl maybe half that. CD-Rs can be bought blank at $20 for 50 blanks, which is 40-cents each. Sticky labels -- if he doesn't have CD-Rs professionally duplicated -- are probably another 50-cents each, color copies on an ink-based printer probably another $1 each between the slick photo paper and exhorbitant cost of the ink, so you're looking at $2 and up to reproduce CD-Rs. Duplicating a CD-R at home is not a mass-produced affair, so dubbing off a CD-R on a home deck each time runs something like 12-13 minutes, one disc at a time. They can probably be done for comparable cost semi-professionally for like money, but in lots of 100+. In effect, he's his own indie record company, operated at home.

He has sold them and they have been given reviews. His latest was reviewed by Style Weekly in Richmond, and also by LapTop Sessions. He is also listed with all music guide, as well as IMDB. Looks like people are just jealous of someone doing what they love to do.

I was in Richmond over the weekend and was driving from my hotel to the CCV for a family dinner Friday night. I actually crossed over the "avenue" on which Meade resides. I did not try to look up his house number so I could drive by his house. I kept going to where I needed to be.
Bottom line; I can now be confident In my conviction that I am not "jealous" of him as he claims all his detractors are.

Considering he has been a full time singer/songwriter since 2000.
He really doesn't have a very large body of work at all.
And it all sounds alike.

I bought one of his CD's at Ukrops a few years ago. I hide it from my family and secretly listen to it when I am running errands on the weekends. One time when I was going to the old hardware store in Manassas I pulled into the parking lot and was cranking "Sweet Tea" really loud and a bunch of pick-up driving rednecks gave me a look of pure disgust. I was so ashamed I drove away without going into the store.

The surname is from a union family. Whether General Meade was born into it or adopted into it doesn't change a thing.
Meade's parents were the ones who chose to name him "Meade". As self-absorbed as he is, Meade has several shirts with "MEADE" written on them. I'm sure a few people think those shirts are about something that was named after the general who defeated the Rebels at Gettysburg and not the vain Fucktard who wants he name displayed wherever he goes.

Most of us have decided to devote our lives to being productive members of society. Is this the best that can be said about Meade? That he has sold more CDs than those who have recognized that they would not be marketable as musicians? He needs to compare himself to his peers. I don't know Brett Davenports sales numbers but "Long Hair don't care" has gotten half a million views on youtube and even then he knew he couldn't make a living as a musician.
