Who remebers the old army ES playground. I went to LC way back in the day but I always went to army. It was the shit, what ever happened to it?

what? do you mean Navy Elem? Where the h*ll is Army? I do remember the old Brookfield playground, that thing was awesome back in the day :-) It was HUGE! Too many injuries so they tore it down.

I can no longer picture Brookfields old playground in my head, but I remember it being huge, and made of wood. Same with Greenbriar East, their old playground was tight too. Now all you see are these bull shit metal and plastics ones that shock you when you go down the slide.

Those wooden playgrounds at G.B. east and Brookfield were by far superior to what they have there now. I personally injured myself several times as a kid at both playgrounds, but i do not believe safety concerns provoked their removal. I do recall those playgrounds were being lit on fire by some hoodlum(s) in the late 80's, early 90's, so they switched to more flame retardant playsets.
