Ok, OK, I am old, 50 to be exact, but I was 16, 17 etc. I graduated from Chantilly in '78'. If you think your cool now... we cornered coolness in the 70's. I went there the first year it was open '74', we got to vote on what the school colors, and team name was to be. There was a list of about 6 combonations. Obviously Purple and White- Chargers won, though I voted for Green and White-Jets. We had a smoking lounge in a large court yard by the gym, and the seniors had an indoor room in which to smoke, and the school supplied us with a frig full of shit food, and drinks. In between classes the smoking court, and Seniors room would become jammed with students all smoking, yakking etc. Joints were passed and 'cupped' and nobody seemed to give a rats ass what we did out there. Bell- Bottom and Flaired pants were it, with platform shoes girls/guys both. Four 'sub-schools' Red, Yellow, Blue and Orange. I don't know, its probably pretty cool now too, but it's just... ahh...ahh... it was just the "70's". Mugs

Chantilly pretty much sucks now. The current administration are such asses they get on you for everything! I'm in SGA and we can't do anything for spirit week because they don't approve anything we want to do because they think it would be inappropriate like we wanted to do pajama day but they thought girls would all be in lingerie and stuff. It's ridiculous. Terry Brown the athletic director is an ass and so is many of the admins. They aren't fair or consistent about their punishments and consequences. Other then the administration the teachers and students are all pretty cool as well as the athletic teams cause we're all pretty good but wish I went there in the 70's.

Check your records - you don't even know what you're talking about. Before Terry Brown took over the DSA position at Chantilly, all the athletic programs sucked. He rebuilt CHS student activities - program by program. Check the stats, I'm pretty sure Chantilly is now on the pattern of winning, not losing. So, as an athlete of CHS, you should be thanking Terry Brown, not slandering his name.

The above poster isn't complaining about winning or losing, he's complaining about what he perceives to be inconsistent punishment and justice. You may also want to review the difference between libel and slander.

As much as Chantilly sucks, it's still one of the best schools in Fairfax County. But they all suck. Everyone is always saying, "Oh, Fairfax is the richest county ever, their school system is the best, they have so much money..." except that the school board is financially retarded and doesn't know what to spend the money on.

I don't even like spirit week. It's more like "Nazi Rally Week" or "Communist Propaganda Week". I agree that our administration sucks, but I hate the teachers and students, too.

I hate the 21st century. I wish I went to school even earlier than the 70's; I wish I could grow up in the 50's, the the greatest decade ever.

i went to chantilly in 98 and loved it becasue all i did was skip class and smoke big tree al day. then i expelled for truancy and was never allowed in again but i always kept in touch mith the friends that i made in rocky run....good ole times. I loved the bitches but not even the girls kept me in school. I wish i did good becasue i prob would have played soccer for the school and gone to college but that damn herbals got me!!! I'll always have a special place in my heart for the people in chantilly and the high school.
