WASHINGTON - A senior prank at a local Virginia high school is getting two teenagers into big trouble.

Police in Prince William County have charged two Woodbridge High School seniors with burglary and vandalism.

The two were seen on surveillance cameras inside the school setting off fire extinguishers, dumping liquid onto the floor and glueing coins to doors.

The prank caused more than $10,000 dollars worth of damage.

Aaron Gilliam, 18, of Woodbridge, and a 17-year-old whose name has not been released both face charges.

Gilliam is due in the court the same week he is scheduled to graduate

Oh at first I thought this was about Woodson, a school that is actually in Fairfax County. I didn't know Woodbridge was in Fairfax County, there must have been a boundary redrawn or something.

Also, I think our Fairfax County police should chase those Prince William County police back into their own jurisdiction.

Sorry about that, I forgot. You are correct, Woodbridge is not in Fairfax County.

What was the point of the coins? That seemed the most pointlessly destructive of all the stuff listed to me.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. --
Two Woodbridge High School seniors have been charged Tuesday with burglary after police said they caused around $10,000 in damage to the school last weekend.

Police said the two teens were seen in the school on surveillance tape deploying fire extinguishers, dumping liquids on the floor, gluing coins to door locks and other “acts of vandalism” between 1:25 a.m. and 2:35 a.m. Saturday morning, Prince William Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

Aaron Alexander Gilliam, 18, of the 12300 block of Colby Drive, in the Plantation Harbor neighborhood of Lake Ridge, was charged with burglary and destruction of property, Perok said.

Perok said Gilliam was released on personal recognizance, and has a court date of June 22.

Gilliam’s alleged accomplice, a 17-year-old Woodbridge boy, whose identity police did not reveal due to his age, was also charged with burglary and destruction of property.

Police did not have his court date immediately available.
