Basl filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy solely to have the verdict discharged. Eesh then defeated Leiser in the adversary proceeding, a landmark legal case that has been written up in books and journals and cited in other cases.

The biggest score was Leisers milking over $300,000 in legal fees from the Moreno Crime Family for their ill-fated lawsuit. Ironically the Leisers still ended up bankrupt and homeless.
