Dear Brian,
I just wanted to let you know that we only want what's best for you. Please know that we didn't tell your mother about what you did with Hurricane Dot to hurt you. We only wanted to see you get some much needed help. The day I found you in the stable at 5:00AM, standing on a bucket with your pants around your ankles, balls deep inside of that mare is a day that left a mark on both of us. It really was quite unexpected. I'm sorry you hold such hard feelings and denial, but you can't hide from this. I saw it as a cry for help, and was hopeful that Mary would be the one to get you it. I'm sorry she took the measures she did, putting you in a secured psych facility and all, but what other choice did she have? You clearly needed help. Please stop with the threatening phone calls and angry voice messages. I don't hold hard feelings to you and wish you could see the act as your mother and I did. Sick. Twisted. Only someone with severe mental illness would ever do such a thing. I truly hope you can understand this and one day find peace with our decisions.
Sincerely,
[Name and address redacted]
