Do you consider Northern Virginia part of the South?

Although the whole of Virginia is below the Mason-Dixon line, Northern Virginia seems to be culturally different from the rest of the state. I attribute this to all the interlopers from other parts of the country moving to our area to work for the government. They bring with them their customs and beliefs from their places of origins and I feel this seriously dilutes NoVa's southern heritage. Despite this, do you still consider yourself a Southerner, and do can Northern Virginia still be considered culturally part of the South? Or is it becoming more like Silicon Valley on the East Coast?

I grew up in the south. NOVA is Yankeeville.

What would make you even think this? Tech around here is completely limited to music majors, working for accounting firms, to bilk stupid bureaucrats by misconfiguring Micro$oft shit office applications. There is no technical innovation in WashDC area.

I myself am a true Southerner. And I hate carpetbaggers.
