Sounds like your bf is broke. I have heard of people being stabbed there at night on a regular basis. However, I have to drive past there in the day I see white joggers and non-hood people walking the dogs. I wouldn't compare it to NW DC or Detroit. But for this area it's the worst you can find.

If you don't have good cars or anything expensive and don't go out at night, you will be fine.

It's the sketchiest neighborhood in nova but by all means enjoy your new neighbors.

Go down there on a nice Saturday afternoon, when all the locals are hanging around outside.

Then make up your mind.

Good grief. Don't buy in Georgetown South. Are the cops ever not in that neighborhood?

that place is really dangerous at times. A guy was pulled out of his car and killed while driving through. Its a regular thing to hear gunshots at night. If they see you bringing anything of value into your house, you will get robbed, by your NEIGHBORS.

Georgetown South is a nice, clean neighborhood. The homes are luxurious, brand new, and there is no crime. So why not move today?

Just look at the crime reports for PWC and that's all the proof you need.
Georgetown South is basically South East DC with Hispanics.

I'm Hispanic myself, but wealthy and educated. I worked as a public defender for 5 years prior to going into private practice and the majority of my clients were Georgetown South residences.
