Does anyone living in this area actually have any deep roots in Virginia?

I mean, there's so many people living in this area nowadays and most of them aren't from here. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with deep Virginia roots in this area, am I the only one?

My first known Virginia ancestor was deemed 'builder of forts' in Jamestown. He arrived in 1621, was French, and was George Washington's 3x great grandpa, and was credited with saving Jamestown during one of the huge Indian massacres. I have 2 Declaration of Independence signers, a couple colonial governors, at least a dozen House of Burgesses members, along with a bunch of people to be found on Wikipedia (all before the 1800's).
The revolutionary war destroyed my ancestors wealth. Some still had land, but not even a fraction of what my grandpa 'King Carter' once had (he is in my family tree 4x, all inbreds don't come from W Va except maybe recent ones)
But I was adopted, so that probably doesn't count. I know nothing of my birth family

10th generation Virginia here, since 1757, Same county too.

Feisty Scotch-Irish contracted by the British Crown to drive the natives off the "frontier" line which around that time was roughly I-77.
