Locations for Post Apocalyptic Film, Industrial, Far, Business

We are looking for potential locations for our short film, Swords of Insurgency, a post-apocalyptic martial arts film being shot locally. We are fully insured and we can offer credit in the film, credits and opportunities to be in the cast and crew for compensation.

We are looking for industrial areas, run down farms, concrete building areas that can serve as potential scenery.

There are two places that I am sure will perfectly fit your needs. The first is the Glenn Dale Hospital which is an abandoned tuberculosis sanatorium that was built in 1934 and closed in 1981. The other is the Lorton Reformatory which was a maximum security prison that was built in 1910 and closed in 2001. Part of it was turned into an art center called the Lorton Workhouse, but the maximum security juvenile detention parts are still abandoned. There is also an old government fallout shelter there that is abandoned.
