Know Music of Wondering Roma People and Their Spiritual Culture in Search of Justice today

My first contact with the Roma was in a grocery store line in Arlington, Virginia as I was standing behind a Roma couple who were speaking among themselves in front of me. I could actually understand quite a bit of what they were saying and thought that this couple was perhaps from a linguistically related part of India or Pakistan. When I asked them, they smiled and said they were from Hungary and were Roma.

So, this was my first contact with the Roma and I became fascinated to learn about them as knew very little about the Roma at that time (I was born in India and grew up speaking Bengali, a Indo-European language of Northeast India and Bangla Desh today).

the photo story will take us back through history and culture of the Roma for a quick visit back in time. In episode 2, we will address more the topic of the modern Gypsy and cover a bit about the Shinti Gypsies of Southern France.
