Child Abuse Suspect Apprehended By Marshals

John Thomas Gallihugh, the 30-year-old man sought by Loudoun authorities for allegations of child abuse, was taken into custody this morning in Frederick, MD.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, Gallihugh was apprehended by members of the U.S. Marshal's Service and the Frederick County [MD] Sheriff's Office.
Gallihugh, described as a Loudoun County resident with no fixed address, was wanted on charges of felony child abuse. Loudoun Investigators suspect him of injuring a 3-year-old boy last month. Gallihugh also has an outstanding criminal capias for failure to appear in court for an assault and battery of an adult that occurred in June.
The suspect is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center awaiting extradition to Loudoun County.
