Playboy Playmates hit the green

Golfers and business owners from throughout the D.C. Metro area toughed out a wet course, cloudy skies and rain Sept. 23 at Loudoun County’s 1757 Golf Club for the annual Playboy Golf Tournament weekend.
The two-day event kicked off Thursday evening at the 19th Bar and Restaurant in Washington, D.C.
There are about 20 stops on the Playboy Golf Tournament Tour, and those cities are picked based on interest and sponsorship levels. The organization is also looking to expand into South Africa, the United Kingdom and South America.
On Friday, players contended for the opportunity to move on to the national tournament held over a two day period in Los Angeles, Calif.
Players were scored in two divisions, net and gross.
The team of Dan Allen, Brim Butts, Cris Christou and Jaime Marino took first place in the net division, and the team Evan Rafferty, George Koutsolous, Jimmy Calomaris and Zack Lesc won the first place gross division.
In addition to the golf tournament, there was another tournament going on.
Girls from the D.C. area were auditioning to move on to the national competition to see who would be featured as the next Girl of Playboy Golf in the popular men’s magazine.
Following the tournament was a dinner and reception. Following dinner, golfers voted on the girls and the winner was Ashburn native Alexis Woods.
Playboy Golf CEO Ajay Pathak noted how the event helps the game of golf grow.
“Our format allows you to go have fun. We get a lot of people who come to this event as first time golfers because they are clients and they get hooked and pick up the game,” Pathak said. “Even the girls come to this event and want to start playing after they have done this event.
“The goal of this event is to bring people into the sport so they can appreciate the fun of it and of course in the Playboy world its a sexy, exciting fun way to do it in a non-nude, completely upscale version of that,” Pathak said.
Pathak also noted that the event also has a business and social benefit to it.
“We want to provide local businesses the opportunity to network both socially and from a business standpoint with other larger businesses,” Pathak said. “There is a lot of camaraderie and guys are looking to get new business.
The finals are scheduled to be held in March.

Ummm... sounds like a good time. From the photo- wondering if we got the D-List Bunnies? She's hot for Loudoun at the local Ruby's Bar around last call but, she doesn't look like any of the ladies in the print magazine.
