The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has connected a man to the Aug. 1 early morning robbery in the 300 block of East Cornell Drive in Sterling.
James E. Carter Jr., 28, of Sterling, was charged with robbery for the incident — in which a 31-year-old victim told authorities he was attempting to evict residents of an apartment in the area before two suspects brandished a knife and assaulted him.
The suspects later removed cash from the victim’s wallet, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Carter remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and the incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
Further arrests are possible.
