New voters cards issued

The Loudoun County General Registar’s Office announced Aug. 9 that employees have mailed residents’ new voter registration cards.

The new cards reflect changes in polling places and election districts as a result of redistricting.

Residents will be able to determine by using the new voting cards which state house or senate district they live in and whether they will participate in the Aug. 23 Republican primary. Anyone living in the 31st Senate District will have a Democratic primary. Those living in the 13th Senate District, the 10th House District and the 87th Senate District will have a Republican primary.

There will be 10 precincts not holding a primary election on Aug. 23. They are:
• 207- River Bend
• 208 - Algonkian
• 218 - University Center
• 413 - Tuscarora
• 507 - Greenway
• 508 - Balls Bluff
• 622 - Farmwell Station
• 701 - Sully
• 705 - Forest Grove
• 813 - Seldens Landing

Only part of the following precincts will be eligible to participate in the Aug. 23 primary based on the senate and/or house district.
• 118 - Moorefield
• 213 - Countryside
• 616 - Eagle Ridge
• 618 - Mill Run
• 623 - Weller
• 702 - Park View
• 815 - Belmont Ridge

Redistricting resulted in six new precincts. The following precincts were split to create the new precincts:
· Eagle Ridge / Moorefield
· Claude Moore Park / Ridgetop
· Balls Bluff / Tuscarora
· Tolbert / Red Rock
· Heritage / Simpson
· Seldens Landing / University Center

I never received mine. when I called to find out where it was, I was told that I was no longer in the system and they showed me having moved out of the county. I have lived here for almost 20 years. WTF!?!
