Teen attacked with broken beer bottle

A 17-year-old fell victim to a malicious wounding attack June 19, suffering serious injuries from a broken beer bottle, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The teen remains hospitalized with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries at Inova Fairfax Hospital, according to the Sheriff’s office.
Deputies are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the Sterling attack that took place around 2 a.m., although deputies were not alerted to the incident until 4:45 a.m., when hospital personnel reported the teen’s injuries.
The 17-year-old was walking in the 100 block of Enterprise Street in Sterling with friends when they were confronted by several males. One of the males approached the teen and assaulted him with the broken beer bottle, causing serious injuries, according to the Sheriff’s office.
The victim’s friends rushed him to Reston Hospital, but the teen was later transferred to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
The suspect is described as an Hispanic male with a large scar above his left eye. He was wearing a black polo shirt with gray and white stripes and blue jeans at the time of the attack is believed to be driving a green Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck.
