Chief McAlister New Low in Purcellville

As an Officer of the Law leaking stories to the press is considered compromising the integrity and position you hold; behaving in a vengeful, reactive, hateful and in such an unethical and unprofessional manner is considered conduct unbecoming a Uniformed Police Officer. After all we rely on our Officers to make sound judgment calls in situations of life of death; we can not have reactive, vengeful, or unhinged individuals running around with a badge & gun. So it begs the question why is Chief Cynthia McAlister still employed?
It has been shared with us that Ms. McAlister not only leaked the information about her lawsuit to the press but she leaked it before it was even filed. Being that Ms. McAlister is an active Purcellville town employee her actions go against town policy and general orders and warrant immediate disciplinary action.
The basis for this allegation that we strongly believe it was Ms. McAlister is in part because information contained in the two articles recently published only Ms. McAlister and her attorney knew. Given that both articles stated her attorney wasn’t available for comment, and it would have been an attorney/client violation of private and privilege information if her attorney divulged the information; by process of elimination we are certain it was Ms. McAlister.
Ms. McAlister’s most recent behavior simply goes hand and hand with everything we’ve been sharing about her for the last 2.5 years. The woman is genuinely unraveling, so much so we fear for the safety of her targets and the citizens in Purcellville. Ms. McAlister is so blinded by her rage, hate, and desire for revenge she clearly does not care what rules or polices she breaks; or the families & children she hurts.
Reason(s) why Ms. McAlister should be replaced:
• The actions of leaders are important in promoting good conduct and fostering an ethical culture.
• The promotion of good conduct within complex organizations can be enhanced when different categories of leaders work in concert.
• Leaders need to be willing to intervene informally to steer behavior in their organizations and resolve emerging problems rather than relying on formal regulatory mechanisms.
• The personal moral credibility of leaders can be very important in enhancing the effectiveness of formal ethics regulation.
- McAlister can’t be trusted to promote anything positive or ethical, work in concert, be relied on, and her credibility is completely in question when she’s openly, publicly, and proudly suing her employer. So much so she is unethically leaking the information to the press creating issues for her employer; and attempting to hurt the families and children of targets. As Chief of Police you must be viewed as a pillar in your community not a constant source of hate, anger, and negativity.
All that said, we implore everyone to contact the Purcellville Town Council and in an effort to ensure the safety of the citizens demand an immediate investigation into the conduct/behavior of Chief Cynthia McAlister and her leaking information to the press. Ms. McAlister being a Law Enforcement Officer can by General Orders be compelled to submit to a polygraph. It’s time Purcellville got some answers. Regardless, this type of concerning behavior can not be allowed to continue.
