A South Riding man was charged Thursday with driving under the influence of drugs after he crashed his BMW, seriously injuring one of his three passengers.

Dilgeer Singh, 18, was charged with DUID, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reports.

Reports said Singh was speeding north on Loudoun County Parkway about 10:49 a.m. when he hit a 2004 Toyota Sienna that was attempting to turn east onto Center Street.

The Toyota Sienna overturned, trapping its driver inside the vehicle. Singh was also trapped inside the BMW.

The BMW's front seat passenger was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was in critical condition as of Friday morning.

The three other occupants of the BMW and the driver of the Toyota Sienna were taken by ambulance to Inova Fairfax hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A preliminary investigation determined Singh was driving well above the posted speed limit when he hit the Toyota Sienna driven by a South Riding man.

The driver, front seat passenger and a rear passenger of the BMW were all not to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The scene was processed by investigators from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit. The roadway was closed for approximately four hours for the investigation.

Any witnesses to the crash, who have not already spoken to law enforcement, are asked to contact Investigator R. Beach at 703-777- 1021.

The BMW was a 2011,335is, silver. A coupe, priced in 2011 at just under $60,000.00.

The 335is can go from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. There is no reason an 18 year old should have been behind the wheel of this car.

Holy Cow! That car is a six speed manual gearbox. If I had one of those, I wouldn't even trust my 46 year old brother to drive that sucker.

I don't know where you are getting your information up, but you're doubling the worth of the car. It's KBB value at excellent is $33,000 to a private party. It's a $30,000 car. Not $60,000. It's wrong to out wrongful information up. Pure ignorance.

I don't know where you were trained in reading comprehension, but the post was clear, and factual. The post stated in the car was a 2011 model, and in 2011 the price of the car was just under $60,000.00.

How is a 335 as expensive as a 535? Is someone inflating their estimate?

This is a trend from the majority of young Indian Pakistani and Middle Eastern men in their area. They pay no rent their parents pay for everything giving them fancy toys cars which they race and crash while they are intoxicated.
